    Mondays seem particularly bad, after the weekends news has been stewed on!

    FTSE100 down 160
    Oil up - Trump/USA buying all they can store while cheap.

    Given the lack of seriousness to the situation by many. There's bound to be a round of panic selling when reality finally dawns.

    FTSE100 down over 300 points (6%j and Dow down nearly 1000 points (5%) on IG Index at 22.00.  

    For some reason I can't get Status Quo out of my head.....Down down deeper and down  :'(

  • The virus statistics are going to get a lot worse in the next couple of weeks. Until it gets past the first peak I'd expect further pessimism. I don't think reality has kicked in with the public yet. It needs some positive news to turn it around - reduction in new cases, widespread testing, reduction in deaths, signs NHS are coping, effective testing regime to get people back to work, businesses reopening. 
    Mr Straw described whiplash as "not so much an injury, more a profitable invention of the human imagination—undiagnosable except by third-rate doctors in the pay of the claims management companies or personal injury lawyers"
