I wonder if those that transferred DB pots to SIPPs will now be claiming they were badly advised. Even if the risks were clearly articulated and accepted at the time. Claims Management companies will be salivating.

FTSE100 down 160
Oil up - Trump/USA buying all they can store while cheap.
Subject to change of course.

Given the lack of seriousness to the situation by many. There's bound to be a round of panic selling when reality finally dawns.

FTSE100 down over 300 points (6%j and Dow down nearly 1000 points (5%) on IG Index at 22.00.

The virus statistics are going to get a lot worse in the next couple of weeks. Until it gets past the first peak I'd expect further pessimism. I don't think reality has kicked in with the public yet. It needs some positive news to turn it around - reduction in new cases, widespread testing, reduction in deaths, signs NHS are coping, effective testing regime to get people back to work, businesses reopening.
