My DC pension is down £28K over the last 6 weeks, and that includes the £2200 I paid in this month! However, as I'm 46 and at least 11 years from retirement I'm really not bothered. Just keep buying through and (hopefully) out the other side.

If you're a couple of years from retirement though you may have a right to be slightly more concerned.
In 11 years time you could be facing another "event".  Until "events" occur many people rarely consider their appetite for risk seriously. Or the wisdom of their investment choices.
Pretty pointless having a portfolio built to suit the risk appetite of your future self 11 years hence.

    That wasn't what I said.

What emotion is driving the market now?

Extreme Fear on the  Fear and Greed index!

However I will be keeping to my mechanical emotionless re-balancing investment strategy through the many wrecking balls to come

My prediction 28/2 of a  -25% or more drop  is looking on track as we look to possibly be slipping  from a correction to a crash

Indeed we are down over 20% already in the FTSE100, plenty of reasons for thinking things might get worse before getting better.

I’m just a bit annoyed that I haven’t got any free cash to top up my Income portfolio (which is down 22% currently).

interestingly my Pension fund (based around multi asset funds akin to VLS60) is only currently down 3%, though today’s drops aren’t reflected in fund values yet.

I too wish I had a bit more to buy in.  I did have a couple of thousand in cash in my ISA and just pulled the trigger.  Going to see if I can release some more cash.  I dont need these investments for maybe 5-7 years.

Dipped a small toe in this morning with a limit buy (order not yet fulfilled), but plan to see how things continue before topping up anything else.

Might be a good time to invest in Kimberly-Clark shares  ;)
