THE FAULT IS NOW OVER A WEEK OLD
The pattern for this fault is now well established. It just needs MSE to acknowledge there is a problem and to let us know they have scheduled it in there work programme.

Search fault still exists and due to the forum being truly awful and almost unusable since the 'upgrade' we have lost at least two legally-qualified posters from helping people with scam court claims from parking firms, on the parking ticket and fines sub-board (annexed to Motoring).
If I try to search for a word in that board only, like 'Equality Act' to find a recent court defence example, I get a random, non-sequential mixture of useless posts as far back as 2009, even pre-Equality Act 2010 and from any board, not just parking scam results! What is the point?
I now tell people to search Google to find example defences from MSE. This is embarrassing and will be costing people money to scam/cowboy parking firms (Martin Lewis' words, so OK and true). Newbies are giving up.
And why is the font so ENORMOUS, like a Janet & John old-style children's book? Awful forum.
Why when we post do we have a hulking great CANCEL button underneath?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD4 -
@Coupon-mad Hi CM. You do not say exactly how you have searched.
If you go to Advanced search, enter "Equality Act 2010", including the quotes, into the first (Search Forum) box, leave Title and Author boxes blank, put/select Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking in the category box, then deselect Replies and Polls boxes from the what to search boxes, then click search. This results in url: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?adv=1&search=%22equality+act+2010%22&title=&author=&cat=163&tags=&discussion_d=1&within=1+day&date=. This seems to bring up all thread starter posts that include the words Equality Act 2010 in receding date order.
If you do the same search but don't deselect the Replies box, the url becomes: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?adv=1&search=%22equality+act+2010%22&title=&author=&cat=163&tags=&discussion_d=1&comment_c=1&within=1+day&date=. which then brings up the thread starter posts and any reply posts that include those words still in receding date order.
Putting the quotes around the words being searched for ensures that all of these words are included in each of the results whereas without the quotes you do get a messy set of results like you mention, as these will include any posts that include any one of the specified words.
If you leave the 2010 out of the search, it will include any posts where the poster has left that date out.
Regarding the enormous font and large cancel button, have you tried using a different browser? I use Chrome and have never had these problems but I have heard of problems with people using Internet Explorer which is now out of date.
Hope this helps.

As far as Competitions is concerned, search now seems to have had a complete breakdown.
It doesn't seem to be finding ANY thread starter posts, posted in Competitions Time before today although it may sometimes, randomly, find replies.
It also only seems to be finding Replies in Game Over and I Won I Won I Won.
Or is it just me?
This one now fixed but previous problem still remains.1
