I went back to bed this morning for a couple of hours, feeling better now... have decided to do the food shop tomorrow and tackle the house today. DH and I are part way through....
Top floor looking habitable again and bathroom has been scrubbed. Think I will tackle the rest in rounds (thanks round)
Round 2 (ish)

vac bedroom ( new carpet yay!)
wipe down woodwork in bedroom ready for moving back in there

Source of annoying beep turns out to have been the phone which had been knocked off it's base. So washer running now. Feel like a plonker!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Good afternoon
(already!!)
Got up for Parkrun this morning. We went to the inaugural parkrun that will probably be my local one as it is the nearest. There were about 250+ runners, and I came near the back, but not last! It was horrendous!! The worst weather I have done it in, and it was my 91st Parkrun! It is the same route as the couch 2 5K, along the seafront - it was windy and wet, and my face hurt afterwards (it felt like a severe case of brain freeze!). Got home, stripped off, made tea & went back to bed to warm up. I then showered, and I feel normal again now. I cleaned the toilet, sink & shower while I was there
I have had brunch and caught up on the fred. Time for a little list:
Round 1
put on WM (DD2 has done 1 load already)
WULTD
stack DW (or restack, as DH has already done it!)
sort the dry washing upstairs - DH can't fold properly, he just 'flollops' IYSWIM
Straighten hair for party later - starts at 4pm!!
That'll do for starters. Have a good day everyone - the sun is out now!!

Finally got dressed and decided to go to village thing. Glad I did, always good to catch up with people and I got a recipe for microwave meringue which I've already tried.
Dailies are done, throws changed on sofas and washing up to date and on airers.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Round 1 completed + two loads of washing now draped on radiators and airer, and I've had a drive out to Mr T's and bought the items on my shopping list. On a Saturday afternoon - I must be nuts but heyho, done now
DS and GF have gone to the circus this afternoon, then they're out at a charity function this evening. I'm timing tea (jacket spuds and baked beans) for 5.30 - that should be about right. I'm not going anywhere - I plan to curl up in the chair and read a book. I know how to spend a Saturday night - lol.

Afternoon all,
I’ve just caught up with the Fred, so hugs (especially to sexymouse), sticks and spoons all round as needed.
This morning, I have been striking whilst the iron is hot, so to speak. DH finally agreed that he did have time to come round a couple of garages with me in Big Town ( he knows his way round way better than me, so there was a method in my madness) to start looking for a possible car for DD. Successful trip, as we have now decided on a make and model, and what with it being new registration day tomorrow, we are set to choose from the trade ins that are due to land on the forecourt in the next couple of days. In theory, but it feels like progress. I then conceded to go to the diy superstore with him on the way home, so he was pacified. I’ve also got DH to agree to sit down for an hour this afternoon to discuss some house / finance stuff, so that is a miracle. It must be this leap year thing - my DH has been replaced by a reasonable alien!
Flying wise - not much beyond the laundry and HHI. I’m supposed to be doing a couple of concentrated hours paperwork now, but I seem to have distracted myself with being on here....7 -
Hi all
Made myself go to gym class this morning, shocked at how much strength I have lost, lots of catching up to do. Then drove to station to pick up DS2 - havent seen him since New Years Day and oh how lovely to have a squishy hug from my boy. Called at Asda for food and have just eaten a very late brunch! Out with some cycling friends tonight, then might drive out to the coast tomorrow before DS2 heads home. Have just hoovered and mopped kitchen floor, DW to empty in a minute. DS has brought lots of washing so one load in and one load soaking - one sweatshirt is covered in gravy, and another in ketchup! Sunny and windy here.8 -
