SM may whatever time your Nan has left be happy, and may her final Journey be peaceful. xI have today given Mr Wolf lessons in how to do the household finance spreadsheets. I think we may both be in need of a large whisky.I also realise that most people, feeling as I do lately (ie the past 19 months) would visit their GP and ask for aid in combatting depression. The only problem with that is I'm already on the highest dose of anti-d's they can give me; talking therapies are, in my case, counter-productive; so I have to figure this out for myself.I'd take this Tyrannosaur-sized Black Dog to Battersea, but I think they'd refuse to take it.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)8

sexymouse said:Thank you pigpen - I will try to go and visit her this evening. Sorry to hear your TD has died - are you able to get it repaired at all? x
Girls collected.. mum of the day award is mine.. I took wellies so they went puddle hopping on the way home.. 3 very wet girls now in fluffy onesies!
boog making a cuppa while we warm up and I shall see what I have for dinner.. I was hoping to get to the shop but the tax credits weren't paid today with no warning or reason I have been informed of so after the car needing a repair and the new fish tank yesterday I have £6 until whenever they decide I am allowed payments again.. It really annoys me that they do stuff like this and don't give you advance warning.. had I known I would not have made the holiday payment this week.. NOT impressed!

Half an hour spent dot to dot on the landing. But it's lookiing better and another session should see it cleared and ready to be cleaned.
OH came home early so we went and picked up the cat food I'd ordered. When we got back I did the litter trays whilst he made a cup of tea. He's just gone to have his hair cut so I'm going to do the last load of ironing.
Easy dinner tonight, smoked mackrel, potatoes and peas
9300 steps so will hit 10k before bed
Better get on with the ironing as it will be wine o'clock as soon as he gets back
My thoughts go out to all of you suffering or with loved ones suffering. The world is exceedingly stressed at the moment and not sure how or when it will stop
Hugs and spoons, enjoy the weekend

(((Hugs))) to all in need, especially sexymouse xx
I have been working most of the day on writing a talk, with the deadline fast approaching, and we are both out all day tomorrow at an synod meeting. I suddenly realised at 3.00 that I had booked Rosie into kennels for a 48-hour stay, so that she wouldn't be left on her own for hours, and at that point she still hadn't had a walk. One very wet dog, one very muddy pair of boots, one difficult drive down flooded lanes - whichever route I chose. Got home and realised I've got to do packed lunches for us tomorrow, so had to take a quick trip to the co-op for bread and bananas. Just drinking a cuppa, and realised that I have forgotten to post a letter and it's now too late to catch tonight's collection - very annoyed with myself
Flying? 2 loads of clean, dry washing FUPA and another in the TD. At the beginning of the week I had umpteen bags and folders on the landing, waiting to be delivered to various places (and lined up in date order), and all but two of them have now gone to their new homes. Otherwise the house is tidy and acceptably clean: I don't do polish and sparkle very often, and certainly not when it's pouring with rain and miserably dark! Sometime over the weekend I will go through a few cupboards and drawers and see what I can send to the CS - or, in the case of outworn shoes, of which DH has a couple of pairs, just bin.
I too need to be slinkier...
Hope everyone is able to keep warm and dry and has a good weekend xx

LameWolf said:SM may whatever time your Nan has left be happy, and may her final Journey be peaceful. xThank you LameWolf. I took DS1 to visit straight after school - looking in the visitor's book, we'd not long ago missed my Mum's visit. By the time we went in, she was peacefully asleep and I didn't want to wake her as I know that my Mum's visit may have tired her out already. So DS1 and I sat in her room with her and he did his reading and his maths homework to keep her company. She wouldn't have heard us in all likelihood as she has long since stopped wearing her hearing aids as she insisted they didn't belong to her. My sister is going to visit her tomorrow with my Mum and possibly her children too, so we may go again on Sunday if she's still with us. Thank you for my hug ionafan (hope your meeting goes well and Rosie enjoys kennels) and the well-wishes Mademoiselle (well done with your HHC accomplishments too).Went to Mr T on the way back and got nappies etc. I'm starving hungry now so hopefully dinner will be ready soon (DH has made homemade pizza). DS1 was bought some golden syrup sponge puddings, so I may have to try and make a vegan version for DS2 and I so we don't miss out. Will have to dig through my recipe file to find the recipe I used last time.pigpen that sounds very frustrating regarding your TD - thank goodness it's under warranty though and not another expense you need to worry about. I hope they manage to fix it permanently this time or offer you a new model. Don't know what I'd do without our TD. If I had to choose between that and a dishwasher, I'd definitely choose the TD. Well done on the wellies too.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178

Morning All
Awake early again, rain lashing down and very windy here. I hope that you are all safe and dry x
Going to be a catch up day as not much flying has been accomplished. I wish I didn’t have to venture out but we do need a food shop so will have to brave it.Going to make a cuppa now and write a list for the day. Back at a more sensible hour with a progress report x8 -
Morning all
grey, wet and gloomy here. But I need to get my derrière in gear; I'm working almost full time next week so need to prep lunches and plan meals. And I'm out tonight with the Chemmacal Sisters (colleagues from the Refinery with whom I did the Sparkle Walk in honour of Emma who we lost to cancer).
and I'm out again on Friday - different group same restaurant though my BF Karen will be at both!
So I need to clean, shop, cook, lesson plan and stop the fluffin washer beeping. Googling suggests a filter clean might be the way to go. And then there's the admin.
Happy Leap Day all. Anyone planning on proposing?
On a positive note apparently I can write a free will through my Union.

Morning all. Hugs, birthday wishes etc where needed.
Very busy week with paid stuff, training, pain etc means that only the basics have been done here. There are a couple of events going on today, but it's wet and windy again, I'm having a dogless weekend and I don't want to go out.
I have a presentation to prepare so think I'll do that and potter.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning xx
Where did the week go? Come to that, where did the month go?!
So far today I've got washed and dressed, made the bed, fed the birds (think it was a wren I saw - a tiny little bird aww), put out the recycling, sorted Mount Washmore in to loads, set first load swishing, and put a bowl of pots to soak. I'm back to front saying what I've done instead of what I'm going to doI've also got weighed and set myself a mini target of half a stone to lose by 31st March. Time to see if I can juggle another plate without everything crashing down
I've introduced myself to the weight loss thread that Molly mentioned - flylady is MAD with the house, so I'm thinking a daily account of what I've eaten might work too. I can but try!
