The ads that REALLY bug me are those that say

We sorted out all our debts and had enough left over for a holiday !!!

No you didn't - you paid for your holiday with borrowed money when you were already in debt up to your eyeballs - very irresponsible.

My other half is learning to drive and wants to buy a car when he passes his test. We were talking about it the other day and my eldest son (age 8) pipes up that we should go to Yes Car Credit, as anyone can get a car off them. I said "oh yes, and what exactly are we supposed to use to pay them back" and he said "don't worry, they make sure it's an affordable monthly payment".

I was very shocked and he got an intense lesson on borrowing!
Here I go again on my own....

AXA sun life (okay, so not a loan, but why advertise over 50's life insurance with no return on cancellation, on kids tv?)

Nick Jr (618 on Sky) this morning 9.53 before Max and Ruby, First Plus with Carol Vordermann in a hot air balloon. Prompted my 4yo to ask what a homeowner was!

Followed in same ad break with a Halifax advert with Howard - may have been for mortgages, sorry can't remember.
