You need to follow the process outlined by "descrabled" here:-

You renew the RS to an easy access saver account, withdraw the money, then close the EASA, .
You might have to log off and on again once or twice for things to update.
Phoning Lloyds will only draw their attention to the loophole. Please don't!7 -

You think they haven't noticed what's going on by now ?!? 😉How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Lloyds etc Regular Savers
If they were interested, surely Lloyds could/would have closed the loophole which allows conscientious savers to close down a fixed interest Regular Saver early by changing the type of account, closing down the changed account (with full interest at RS rate to date) and then opening a new Regular Saver without waiting for the original RS anniversary date? If they are not aware of the "loophole" being available and being used, surely this is a poor indication of their banking abilities?
Agree, though, that better not to phone them about this and draw attention to the issue.1 -
There are all sorts of loopholes that financial institutions are not aware of. They are not very good at analysing data intelligently. And there are documented examples of loopholes being closed when people blab about them. Off topic though.5
