There is an anomaly on this account.flaneurs_lobster said:chris_the_bee said:
In common with all other BS, maturity is on the 12 month anniversary of opening the account i.e 25th August 2024.BestSeagull said:
If the account is opened on 25th August 2023 and a month is a calendar month, are we sure that the end date of the "12 months" is not 31st of August 2024?This is the detail from my MonBS RS:
Account Information
Is "Next Interest Due Date" the same as Maturity Date?Product Name: CORONATION REGULAR SAVER Date Opened 26/04/2023 Next Interest Due Date 31/03/2024
In one place it states:-- Interest is variable and calculated on a daily basis on the balance in the account and paid at the end of the 12-month term.
- Interest is paid annually and can be added to the account or paid into a suitable bank/ building society account or suitable Monmouthshire Building Society account following close of business 31 March.
I have now had written clarification from Monmouth regarding interest payment date as follows:"....... I can also confirm that the interest is paid at the end of the term for the Coronation Regular Saver"0 -
Loughborough BS are finally raising some of their regular saver rates according to moneyfacts:
Limited Access Monthly Saver rises to 4.75% (up from 3.75%) from tomorrow. Still a poor rate but it's not often Loughborough raise their variable regular saver rates. Regular Saver Issue 1 is still showing as 2.5% on moneyfacts though.2 -

Currently having a nightmare with them gaining online access. As an old customer my online was suspended. Meant to be reactivated now after a telephone conversation with them a few days but trying to log in want an activation code which they haven't sent. Another phone call.Reg_Smeeton said:Satisfied Monmouthshire customer here, two letters arrived over the weekend and two accounts funded as of this morning. Their very competitive rates at the moment more than outweigh any minor procedural clunkiness. IMO.
On a more positive note both R/S's have been opened and details sent to me.
Just wanted to check if max monthly deposit on the ord R'S is the same as the Exclusive one £300?
Thanks0 -
Both are £300.Growingold said:

Has any "new" customer who opened 7% one and then applied for the 8% one? Are you treated as an existing customer in this case?1

According to the T&C you are not but some people have been trying that sort of thing (opening an instant access saver followed by an exclusive RS, for example) anyway and MBS appear to have been lenient with these types of applications so far.qsk said:Has any "new" customer who opened 7% one and then applied for the 8% one? Today or as soon as you can and on the 1st of every month starting from October until 1st August 2024.Growingold said:Monmouthshire RS's
A question which may have already been answered definitely but not sure.
Does the 12 months run from date of account opening or receipt of first deposit? Having missed deposit window for August wondering when best to do Septembers?
Many thanks.0 -
What makes you think that?BestSeagull said:
