If the account is opened on 25th August 2023 and a month is a calendar month, are we sure that the end date of the "12 months" is not 31st of August 2024?This is the detail from my MonBS RS:
Account Information
Is "Next Interest Due Date" the same as Maturity Date?Product Name: CORONATION REGULAR SAVER Date Opened 26/04/2023 Next Interest Due Date 31/03/2024
In one place it states:-- Interest is variable and calculated on a daily basis on the balance in the account and paid at the end of the 12-month term.
- Interest is paid annually and can be added to the account or paid into a suitable bank/ building society account or suitable Monmouthshire Building Society account following close of business 31 March.
I need to clarify this with them for tax reasons.Fortunately however, there is no such ambiguity for the latest 2 products - interest is paid at the end of the term

One thing to note about the regular saver is that you can't make withdrawals by faster payment from it online, however you can make a transfer to another Leeds BS account online. I've found the Access Saver allows you to make withdrawals by faster payment over the phone and has a £1 minimum balance so what it may be worth doing is opening an Access Saver as well with and sticking £1 in it, then if you need to make a withdrawal you can transfer the money to the Access Saver before phoning them to make a faster payment from there in order to save faffing about with cheques.7 -

The Lord of Monmouthshire, Chapter 43
Tried opening an Exclusive Saver alongside the EA and RS last Wednesday. Signatory forms for the latter arrived on Saturday and Tuesday. Passbook for the Exclusive Saver arrived today! No signatory form, no issue with not being an existing customer!
Bemused but happy!
My advice to those interested in the Exclusive Saver who aren't existing customers: just apply for an EA and then apply for the Exclusive Saver, and be prepared for an odd experience....2 -
