Has anyone seen any confirmation of changes to Darlington's RS accounts (incl NLAs) in the pipeline?
Their website states
"Published 3 August 2023The Society has responded to today’s 0.25% Bank of England base rate rise by increasing interest rates across its range of savings accounts to help members maximise their savings."
to be implemented on "some" accounts on 1 Sept, it seems
Going to amend my S/O for Sept to put £1K in on the 29th rather than the 1st and then £1k on 02 Oct.0 -
Does anyone know when SRBS raised the monthly limit on their RS to £1,000?
You would think they would inform existing customers..0 -

Ok I’ll keep this simple, just received letter from MBS for one of my requested R.S. Can someone tell me on the signatory form, do I only need to answer questions 1and 2 if I’m operating the account for someone else?
As the account is just for me, do I only sign and send it back, and yes I was sent an envelope with my letter to return it but did not receive any of the other stuff listed in the letter.
Solo account I was going to fill in all sections and say any one signature….. made the most sense in my head when I looked at it.1 -
I assumed that section was just for accounts with multiple signatories. I just ticked solo account and then signed at the end...
They don't make it easy do they!2 -

I know they don't allow people to hold more than one regular saver/small saver, but if I were to close the one I have and open the one that's on offer now at 5.75%, would I still get the 4% paid to a/c closure?
Mine is also the Small Saver Issue 7 (Fixed Term), but they didn't change mine. It's still showing at 4%. Needless to say, I have used the withdrawal access to take out all but £1. No point keeping more in at 4%, but bit miffed they won't allow me to open the Saver at 5.75%.0 -

Just received from SRBS....................
We are delighted to announce that our Regular Savers account is now even better than before. With immediate effect you can now save up to £1,000 per month, double the previous maximum monthly contribution.
That’s not all – as a valued existing Regular Saver we are offering you the exclusive opportunity to make a one-off contribution, into your regular savers account, of up to £12,000 before 31/12/2023.
What do I need to do if I want to take advantage of these changes?
If you would like to increase your regular contribution amount all you need to do is amend your existing Standing Order (SO) amount up to the maximum allowed of £1,000.
If you wish to top up your existing regular savers account, with a one-off contribution of up to £12,000, then please send the monies by bank transfer using the following details:
• Bank account number: 24575962
• Sort code: 40-05-30
• Ref: Please insert your regular savers account number
Please note that we cannot accept cheques or cash.
We would also urge you to register for online banking via this link, click here. Here you will be able to see your account(s) and balances (please allow up to 48 hours for any credits to be accepted from your bank).
Still need help?

Best to wait until 1 October before topping up Regular Saver with up to £12K. The top up "offer" lasts until 31/12/23. The interest rate rise to 5.15% doesn't apply until 1 October, a sluggish two months after the base rate rise on 3 August.4 -
Just catching up after being away for the weekend. Viewing all the Monmouthshire posts with wry amusement. I applied for both just after they went live, when links went straight to online application without showing any criteria. When the links disappeared and then reappeared, it became apparent that I didn't qualify for the Exclusive as I hadn't had an open account for nearly a year. Nevertheless, I've received my passbook and added the account in 'My Accounts'. Meanwhile I have to return the signature form for the account for which I was eligible, the standard RS. Unlike some, I rather enjoy the quirkiness!2
