Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

The increase on the Coventry HB Iss 1 is useful. I've not been funding it lately as I'm trying to keep my annual interest below £1k, but it will allow me to close Halifax at the end of August, and BOS at the end of September, and simplify things a little.
I'm hoping Cambridge BS will launch a decent RS soon. Bizarrely, their loyalty RS account only pays 4%, but their "Your Saver" account which has far more flexibility is paying 4.4%2 -
This may sound like a silly question but with the Coventry First Home Saver, can it just be used as a normal regular saver? You aren’t tied into using the money towards any Coventry BS products?0

no you're not tied to getting a mortgage with them, and even if you buy a house with another mortgage provider they might not even find out (i.e. to close it)georged123 said:This may sound like a silly question but with the Coventry First Home Saver, can it just be used as a normal regular saver? Correct, although if you were to take out a mortgage with Coventry BS during the term of the FHS they will pay you a bonus of (I think) £500, at least that's true of Issue 1.georged123 said:This may sound like a silly question but with the Coventry First Home Saver, can it just be used as a normal regular saver? https://www.darlington.co.uk/news/society-members-benefit-from-further-bank-rises/“The Society will introduce rate changes to all savings accounts in the coming weeks, with some accounts benefitting from a full 0.25 per cent rate increase.”If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

would you expect an increment in regular saving accounts rates this week?0

Also, the account made it fairly clear when it started that you could use it to help save for a family member's first home - even the £500 bonus takes account of this "you, or a member of your family, are a first time buyer who has completed on a Coventry Building Society mortgage in respect to a first residential home" so even buying a home shouldn't be a barrier.AndyTh_2 said:

West Brom have announced some increases from 10/8/23. Among them:
Access Regular Saver from 3.4% to 3.6%
Acorn Regular Savings (NLA) from 5.5% to 5.75%1 -
They’ve just announced new rates, but no uplift to RSs unfortunately - https://www.nationwidemediacentre.co.uk/news/nationwide-increases-savings-rates-5apt said:
We are overdue a decent regular saving offer from the Nationwide. Very overdue.Alicon88 said:would you expect an increment in regular saving accounts rates this week?If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
