You might have a long wait......I received a letter today, posted 1st class on 14th December.........nothing is actually working in this country. Will the last person to leave switch the lights off please?silvercar said:
Me to, it’s only a more recent letter with a reply paid envelope that asks for a bank statement.ChaskhaChaia said:
They asked me for details of my nominated account for withdrawals as part of the registration process for online banking access.Band7 said:
@ChaskhaChaia if you want to get your money out of MonBS at maturity, rather than by cheque, you do need a verified nominated account. I would recommend you set the registration in train as soon as possible so you are all set for laterChaskhaChaia said:I applied for the Monbs Christmas Saver on the day that it released at the end of November 2022. I have no previous relationship with Monbs. I sent neither a cheque (even if I was aware of their antiquated process, I don't even have a cheque book to use to write a cheque!) nor the additional form regarding the nominated bank account. Today I received my letter/passbook so I finally have my account number (hurrah!) I fortunately was not asked to provide a certified bank statement or other documentation.
I've made my first deposit (Yes, I've missed December but not a lot that I can do about that now) and have requested online access (as part of that process they asked me details of my nominated account for withdrawals so presumably that will negate the need for a physical form). Hopefully the activation key will turn up at some point so that I can use the online account access, although as I don't intend to make any withdrawals from the account until closure date this is less of a priority now that I finally have my account number!

They can't leave, trains are on strike, buses are on strike and they can't learn to drive because DVSA are on strike as well.subjecttocontract said:

Monmouth - I have sent off a paying in slip following advice on here. Though I note the letter asks for a statement and doesn't mention anything else being an acceptable alternative. FD = 7%- Monmouthshire Christmas saver at 5.5%
- Club Lloyds monthly saver at 5.25%
- Principality Christmas saver at 5%
- Nationwide start to save at 5%
- Natwest digital regular saver at 5%
- RBS digital regular saver at 5%
- HSBC regular saver at 5%
- Coventry First Home Saver at 5%
- Lloyds monthly saver at 4.5%
- Halifax monthly saver at 4.5%
- Bank of Scotland monthly saver at 4.5%
- Hinckley & Rugby BS Regular Saver 30 day notice at 4.25%
- Furness BS 1Y Regular Saver Issue 5 at 4%

- Mansfield BS Regular Savings 30 at 3.5%
- Mansfield BS Regular eSaver 30 at 3.5% (currently in process of opening)
With Buckinghamshire, Bath BS, Loughborough BS and Ecology BS on standby with minimum balances.
I'm holding off First Direct until I become eligible for one of their switching offers.
At the moment I am paying into any regular saver that pays more than my top easy access account (currently Coventry at 3.25%) to maximise my interest so Leeds at 3.7% fits the bill nicely.14 -
Wow, looks like you're going for a full set.
Well at least our lists might steer others toward the slightly better rates on offer.0
