  • Has anyone's Furness Building Society regular saver deposits made today arrived in the accounts yet please? Furness says they are credited manually by their Finance Department the next working day - given I made the transfer just after 00:00, I would class today 09:00-17:00 as the next working day, and therefore it should've been credited. If I made it at 09:00 I would class today as the same working day, and tomorrow as the next working day. Perhaps they count tomorrow as the next working day, even though the transfer was made before today's working hours, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue, or if this is just normal. Thank you
    Just after 00:00 is later than the previous days cut off of 17:00 and would therefor be processed the following day, ie. 24 + 9 hours after the transfer/payment.
    Ah right - thank you @chris_the_bee! I found a few society accounts that are supposed to reflect payments next working day reflect payments made just after 00:00 before close of business the same day, so I figured this was what it meant, and the same would apply with Furness. I.e. I thought, for example on a Friday if I made a deposit after 5pm, it would appear on the Monday after 9am but before 5pm. Sounds like from what you are saying it'd be Tuesday after 9am but before 5pm. So a payment made after 5pm one working day is treated as if it was received just before 5pm the next working day and therefore credited the next working day after that. I'll see what they do re backdating interest, but I have also requested some prepaid envelopes so may just deposit by cheque instead to avoid lost interest on the days it is neither in my current account, or my RS.
    A way to consider is: Assume everyone goes home at 5pm Friday and don't start back until 9am Monday. Hence they will not see your deposit until Monday morning and it will therefore be credited next business day ie Tuesday.

    A new one from Nottingham BS. It says "Regular saver products are limited to one per customer" so you can't apply for this one is you already have Issue 1 (2.5%) which is now no longer available for new applications.

    They have also moved on majorly to online and app application and management. It took me 10 minutes to sign up as a new customer, incl. ID verification and photo ID upload. Not sure whether & how people without photo ID can apply - possibly in Branch.

    The good things about this RSA is  it run over more than a year. You will never know next year we might be struggling to get a new RSA paying 3.5%.
    For  Beehive Home starter RS. Do we need a separate login with Nottingham Building Society.

    From their website info about the new Loyalty Regular Saver in the Summary Box:_

    • You can only hold one Loyalty Regular eSaver or Loyalty Regular Saver Issue 2 account in your name. For joint accounts you can only be the Main Holder on one account but can be Other Holder on the second account.
    •
    • If you are named as Main Holder on more than one Loyalty Regular eSaver account, the most recent account opened will be transferred to the Six Access eSaver.

    Monmouthshire BS.  Has anyone who applied for their Christmas Saver Bond received anything from them yet (without having chased it)?

    No news yet and my application form was sent off on the day they launched the Christmas Saver Bond with a 1st class stamp on it.

    I sent off for this and the Furness RS over ten days ago and still nothing.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    I received a few letters on Monday that were posted 14 days earlier. At this rate it could quite easily be Christmas by the time we receive our passbooks.
