This works both ways. If you have a BOS login that doesn't show your Halifax accounts, and a Halifax login that doesn't show your BOS accounts, you can create an additional login for each using the details of accounts that don't cross-appear. You can then open a total of 4 regular savers.vernall said:I used to have a BOS current account and RS few years ago, the RS matured and I got rid of the current account in some switch incentive.
I have always held a Halifax account so when they upped their RS rates I opened one for its 4.5%
Few days later I thought I would open a BOS current account again just for their 4.5% RS. I was using my phone at the time so went through the current account opening process, all went through fine so just had to wait for online access to arrive so i could open their RS.
That night I happened to be on my laptop and go to the BOS website, I pressed log in and the laptop had remembered my username and password from few years ago, so I logged in to see if anything was there. It showed my Halifax account and the Halifax RS. Looking at savings accounts it allowed me to open a BOS RS with no current account being open at all.
I opened it and it was showing straight away when I logged into my Halifax banking app too. I deposited via my Halifax account. To this day on my Halifax banking app and the old BOS banking this BOS RS is still showing.
My online access arrived from the new BOS current account, I logged in and the new current account was showing, but no sign of the Halifax account or the Halifax RS or more importantly the BOS RS. I clicked on the savings accounts available to me and to my surprise a RS was available to me to open at 4.5%. I have not opened another one but looks like there is a glitch in the system that would allow me to do so.
Just to clarify, when I log into Halifax and my old BOS the same accounts are showing, Halifax account, Halifax RS and BOS RS. When I log into BOS with the new current account there is only that account showing.
Worth a punt opening another RS you recon for another 4.5%?All My BoS and Halifax accounts are showing my Halifax and BoS and RSA whatever login credential I am using, either Halifax or BoS. How you guys not having them shown on your online banking ??I am aware that I could create a new login credential and apply for as new account but, I prefer not to for personal reason.0 -
I applied for a BOS current account and registered for online banking at the same time. This created a new login with a separate set of accounts.adindas said:Sensory said:

Halifax login 1 --> set of Halifax/BOS accounts <-- BOS login 1
Halifax login 2 --> a separate set of Halifax/BOS accounts <-- BOS login 2
If I had to guess, their systems see me as two different people who happen to share the exact same personal details.1 -
Earl Shilton BS Regular Monthly Saver entry updated with interest rate updated to 3.3% from 14th November 2022
Can I withdraw money?- Yes – 2 withdrawals per year (1st March – end of February Inc.).
- The account will be closed if a further withdrawal is required
What happen after the 3-rd withdrawal your account is closed, but you open a new one immediately. It does not seem any information that will prevent this to happen, does it ?. Have I missed something here ??0 -
When you open a Halifax RS, they automatically open an (Instant) Everyday Saver which allows transfers out, however, withdrawals are by closure only. If you have the BoS RS then this allows withdrawals from the RS itself. There is no need for a current account.zombie404 said:
Interested in doing this But according to requirements of saver account on BOS you have to have a current accountvernall said:
Thats what I didBrewer21 said:
Had another go this morning, success, now registered on BoS app👍 So according to others i can now open a BoS regular saver even though i don't have their current account?Brewer21 said:I tried registering for banking in the BoS app and on-line banking, wouldn't work. It asked for my email and password, no way would it accept anything I inputted.I did have a BoS account and have a current reward account with Halifax which is my day to day account. It seems the only way round this is to apply for another BoS account if i want to indulge in their saver, not tried yet.
Assuming you need the current account to pull the money out the saver account2 -

You cannot pull money into Chase via DD.adindas said:
I have not seen this information regarding pulling money using DDs, on their websites even on TCsSpecial_Saver2 said:
- Chase Saver account paying 2.1% and allowing direct debits and standing orders added to the feeder account section
SS2Could anyone point out where to find this information from ??
You can pay DDs from your Chase Saver account(s).

Another way is to edit the URL to end with /p1 instead of /p600 or whatever, assuming that your mobile allows the URL to be edited.MovingForwards said:
Mobiles don't have a 1 and the three ... don't do anything, the only way is flipping the photo to rotate or wait for OP to post as their signature links to page 1.chris_the_bee said:kuepper said:How do I get to p1 of this thread without doing it 1 page at a time?

Can anyone shed light on when Principality BS have closed their Christmas Regular Saver Bond for the last few years?
I hope to open their Christmas saver in December (as I already have my November RS elsewhere) but don't want to miss the boat and would prefer not to open it in November.
Thanks for any help here...0 -
Not sure, my last two were opened on 19th and 12th Nov 2020 & 2021 respectively.londoner62 said:Can anyone shed light on when Principality BS have closed their Christmas Regular Saver Bond for the last few years?

T's&C's say:
It can be withdrawn at any time.
Putting money into your bond: The first payment into your bond must be at least £1.
If we do not receive the payment within five business days of the account opening, we will close it.
You must keep at least £1 (the minimum balance) in the account.
You do not have to make payments into the account every month.
If you don't like the five business day limit, why not open it now and fund November with £1?2 -
Just tried a BoS 4.50% Monthly Saver. Website kept crashing. Gave up. Will try again tomorrow.0
