Monmouth Christmas Saver Bond (Issue 4)
Has anyone had any maturity instructions for this account? I haven't heard a peep - wondering if I can instruct them to transfer part of balance to a new regular saver and rest to my bank account? It was a couple of weeks ago, but there was no maturity-type RS account on offer at that time -

I do not think it really requires discussion or a new thread, however, of particular note to this offering, over that of Lloyds, Club Lloyd's, and Bank of Scotland, is the lack of regular access to your funds before the expiration of 12 months.veryintrigued said:Halifax Regular Saver increased to 4.5% for new accounts
Can I kindly suggest that if people want to discuss the nuances of this account they begin a new 'Halifax Regular Saver thread'.

Your money is only accessible within 12 months by closure of the account.6 -
So, could I close my existing Halifax regular saver and open a new one at 4.5% ?0

Yes, renew the old RS account into an easy access account through online banking (not App) then you will be free to open the new 4.5% Regular Saver.subjecttocontract said:So, could I close my existing Halifax regular saver and open a new one at 4.5% ?

And so the nuances begin...0

Halifax is riddled with "technical problems" this morning. I tried applying for the 4.5% RS twice through the app (iOS) and once with Chrome in online banking. No luck. I then switched to online banking in Edge and the application sailed through. so don't give up if at first you don't succeed!2

This forum is here to help people not be dictated to by others regarding what can and can't be discussed!! It used to actually be a place where people shared ttheir personal experiences with institutions to allow others to maximise their savings however its now turning into a forum of one-upmanship to regurgitate the latest Moneyfacts website uupdates along with those who feel they have a right to tell others what can be discussed!! If people don't like what's being discussed scroll past it, that really isn't difficult to do!!veryintrigued said:And so the nuances begin...13 -
With the Halifax RS, it says about needing to reach the account by the 25th of the month. It's the 25th today. So could a payment be sent to it today for October or is it too late?1

This is just to advise people that SOs from other banks might not arrive before the end of the month if they are scheduled for after the 25th.t1redmonkey said:With the Halifax RS, it says about needing to reach the account by the 25th of the month. If you make a faster payment deposit today, or actually on any day before November 1, it will count towards the October payment.6
