    Buckinghamshire Regular Saver Locals rate increased from 1.65% to   2.4%. This is an historical account and no longer available to open. Had an email this morning.
    This is good news, I have had this account since September 2016 I think I was surprised that there is no end date on it, I did reduce it to £50 a month, when I had lots of RS that paid more, but happy with 2.4%, although I haven't had this email yet, but I'm sure its on its way,

    Im assuming this will be from September?

    For reasons not clear, my email from Bucks BS today about this ended up in my Spam folder (previous emails from them haven't) so maybe check there. Change applies from 1 September.

    And to clarify one point, the RS Locals account only permits one payment in per month. So if, like me, you have already put in a tenner by s/o, you can't now add £490...

    I presume the non-locals one is the same.

  • Just spotted this from Virgin Money:

    I've been waiting for this and it is totally underwhelming - I thought that they may have used their latest issue launch to improve the interest rate, but sadly not it seems.

    I won't be taking this one up, and will let all of my others go now, unless a competitive rate rise is announced pdq.

    Not much point waiting when you can get 2.21% in a 90 day notice account, for all of your money in the Virgin RSs. Unless you aren't sure whether you need the money in the next 90 days

    You've been waiting ?

    It's been available for a month now, the next one (assuming there is a next) isn't due until the 20th Sept and hopefully that one will take into account the latest/next BoE rate rises, unlike issue 12 which was too early.
  • It would seem that I've been confusing maturity dates with issue dates. Thanks for pointing out my error WMCB  :)

    Well that's decided it for me - I'll be cashing all 6 of my issues in tomorrow.

    My email wasn't personal for my accounts, it just has a link to this page;

    https://www.bucksbs.co.uk/bank-of-england-base-rate-increase.html ;

    where you can download the list of all their 1/9 changes.

    A little bird told me that from 1st Sept Furness BS are raising the rate on their (no longer available) 3yr Reg Svr to 2.2% (from currently 1.7%) .

    So it may be worth holding on to it, if you were tempted to dump it in light of recently increasing instant access rates.

    I have closed all my Regular Savers with Furness BS. Does having a £1 balance in an Every Day Saver ensure I continue to be a member, in the hope that something better might come along?

    Found mine in my junk too.        Reason is that they used a new origin email address.

    I think you will find that they are willing to accept multiple deposits.  If in doubt - suggest a phone call to check.
