    A little bird told me that from 1st Sept Furness BS are raising the rate on their (no longer available) 3yr Reg Svr from (currently) 1.7% to 2.2%.

    So it may be worth holding on to it, if you were tempted to dump it in light of recently increasing instant access rates.
    Have they confirmed this to you?  I have one of these and was about to close.

    I am absolutely confident that the info is correct but will not reveal my source.

    My wife and I have 3 between us with in excess of £25k saved in them. We were about to close them and transfer to Al Rayan but will now keep them - at least for the moment!!

    Odd, because I rang them yesterday and they said they had no plans to increase.  Why would they not want to publicise this if it's only 13 days away from the 1st Sep?

    Hmmmm, interesting, I'd put a note in my diary to call them on the 1st to see if an increase was likely. No increase = dump, Increase to 2.2 = stay.

    My SRBS online is finally open. Took 5 working days. No sign of the RS yet, though I expect it will show in the morning. No sign of the passbook yet, either. But 2.5%, and and open-ended RS with limited withdrawal options sounds relatively attractive

    Their system reminds me of Monmouthshire.

    That's a blow, I closed mine three weeks ago
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    I rang them today to be told due to the amount of interest in this account it was taking longer to sort, up to a week.

    According to moneyfacts, Beehive Money will be launching a Home Starter Regular Saver at 2.5%. It allows you to put in between £1 and £500/mth, matures on 31/10/2023 and is app only. From what I can gather it doesn't allow early withdrawals or early closure but you can skip payments.
