As it seems to allow more than one deposit, just topped mine up to £500 monthly deposit and set it at that.
Good spot James

I have just started to complete the SRBS online application form only to find when I get to the stage asking me to check all the info I have given it states the interest rate is something like 1.5% and not 2.5% so I stopped at that point. What’s going on, has It not been updated? It may well be wrong but I’m not happy to agree to the info and move on.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
If you read JamesRobinson48's post it stated that it is effective from 15 August, today is the 13th....trickydicky14 said:I have just started to complete the SRBS online application form only to find when I get to the stage asking me to check all the info I have given it states the interest rate is something like 1.5% and not 2.5% so I stopped at that point. I suspect it's an admin error rather than something sinister as the rate is clear on their website, I would imagine once opened the account will be paying the correct amount.
If it's not then it's not too much hassle, either complain and/or close it depending upon whether they correct it or not.
And of course, it's not the 15th yet as @Every_Penny_Counts pointed out.0 -
I noticed that too when applying. However it states on the website that the rate is variable and will be 2.5% from 15 August (Monday). I carried on, on the basis that 2.5% will be the applicable rate from Monday. It does say that the account can be withdrawn from sale at any time, so presumably there is a limit to the number of applications they will accept, I thought it best to get in quick.trickydicky14 said:I have just started to complete the SRBS online application form only to find when I get to the stage asking me to check all the info I have given it states the interest rate is something like 1.5% and not 2.5% so I stopped at that point. Go onto the regular saver page on the SRBS website and click the blue "Apply Online" button just under the heading "How do I open and manage my account"1 -

As above, the blue "Apply Online" is a link to the form.1 -
Previously, when they've had enough applicants, they changed it to local post codes only.0
