ThanksSorry, I wasn't thinking properly when I typed. I meant a deposit slip for the account I wanted to use as my nominated account, as proof that it was my account.EPC1 -

The instructions say post the form to your local branch. So today I've posted my application for the Easy Saver to the Northallerton branch: it's not exactly local but, at 250 miles from my home, it is the closest. Plus, with Bettys cafe just down the street from the branch, I might even go there some day.Every_Penny_Counts said:Re Darlington BS Special Occasion RS
I sent mine to the Sentinel House address in Darlington as they are at the other end of the country to me

Principality BS my Christmas saver matured today and the matured funds are in my nominated current account did not expect until tomorrow a business day very impressed"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"1

Mine matured on Saturday and the funds were credited to my external account same day but with tomorrows date. It makes a change from having funds credited either at 1700 when you cant really do anything with them or waiting 2 or 3 days because BACS has been used.typistretired said:Principality BS my Christmas saver matured today and the matured funds are in my nominated current account did not expect until tomorrow a business day very impressed1 -

Hi Folks,
I have just done this weekend's update.
- Newcastle BS Fixed Regular Savings Account (Issue 2) link was correct on page 1 but not in my weekly update post (sorry about that)
- Principality BS Regular Saver Bond (Issue 24) entry updated to reflect current terms and conditions (interest now paid in full, not at the bottom tier of the Instant Access account rate if the account is closed early)
- Monmouthshire BS Christmas Saver Bond (Issue 4) added to the list paying 1.1% variable on up to £1,000 per month until 31st October 2022, any interest you have earned will be paid at the variable rate of their Easy Saver account if the account is closed early
- Principality BS Maturity Christmas Regular Saver Bond added to the list paying 1.05% fixed on up to £125 per month for a year if you have a maturing regular saver bond with Principality BS
Yorkshire BS Christmas Regular Saver account noted but not added to the list as it does not meet the criteria for inclusion on this list (it is paying 1% variable on £300 per month for 1 year).I will do the next update next weekend.SS2

Need money from my Tipton, I did not realise are very strict in withdrawal/closure, in that nether is possible before maturity. I needed the money for a house purchase. Yes its a fixed rate saver what did I expect, but all the others allowed me to leave early and lose the interest. My own fault I suppose but circumstances change, for the area the Tipton is based in I would have thought they understood this.0

Another sad example to prove that it can be detrimental if you choose not to read the terms and conditions, or even just the KPI, before taking out an account.LondonSouth556 said:Need money from my Tipton, I did not realise are very strict in withdrawal/closure, in that nether is possible before maturity. Depending on your level of desperation, may be a loan from a family member or friend, or a money transfer credit card can help with your immediate issue?1 -
It just means I have to find 6k from somewhere else, possibly I could borrow it from family. The maturity is the end of the year and purchases can take ages, but I just wanted to have the money ready. So not so much desperate, my own fault as I saw but I will still surprised how strict they are.Daliah said:

AFAIK, it's the exception that you can terminate a Regular Saver before maturity.LondonSouth556 said:still surprised how strict they are.
But anyway, it sounds you will be ok, so this looks like a lesson learnt without financial loss.0
