If you open the account on the phone they can take the first deposit as a debit card payment. Mine appeared in the account (viewed online) before the end of the phone call.

Monmouthshire Christmas Saver Bond Issue 3 is due to mature tomorrow (31st October). I elected for Issue 4 to be opened with £1000 and the remaining funds transferred to me. Issue 4 leaflet said it's on sale from the 1st November. Should I stop my Standing order or will it be accepted?

JamesRobinson48 said:Principality BS has offered a follow-on Christmas RS to customers whose existing Christmas RS is close to maturity. The terms seem similar to the maturing product (one year, max £125 pm / £1500 total, fixed rate), except that the interest rate on the follow-on product is lower at 1.05%. I guess I'll stay on board, having no Xmas spending plans to speak of!

You need to log into your account and the maturity option to open another Christmas Saver is shown within 14 days of maturity"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"1

That's interesting because it has changed in the last few days. When I originally logged on after recieving my letter I only had the option of issue 24 (which I already have). Thankfully I put the decision off & logged out. I have just logged on again after seeing JamesRobinson48's post & now the option is there as well as the issue 24.....Thank you everyone for posting.EPC0
