My maths is not great but when you can get easy access at 0.60% from the likes of Saga compared to 1% RS can’t be much in it.
I have had dozens of RS but now as they come to and end, I’m putting my cash elsewhere for now.
Just put a load into a 0.86% for six months plus an extra £20 from Raisin that’s got to be competitive to a 1% RS?
Yes I do understand some can’t find lump sum cash to save in one go but if you have the money six months is no time to wait.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -

Was sent on 31/10 by BACS apparently.
Therefore, Chorley maturities will probably reach our accounts on Thursday at the earliest.1 -
Speculator - sorry my Chorley BS does not mature until end of month. Should have realised as I sent a faster payment yesterday which is showing in the account. I do not use standing orders for Chorley BS. Thanks for the heads up about BACS payment."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Keeping at least one RS in a building society can also offer the chance of a future loyalty RS à la Skipton et al.1 -
I wonder what the BofE will do on Thurs. Increase rate? Might prompt a few better RSs...maybe0
