Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

Deleted_User said:I hate those banks which tease you at the end of a Regular saver term, My 2% Halifax Regular Saver has had the interest added overnight, dated yesterday 14 June, but I can't move the principal plus interest (£3250 + £34.62) until Halifax move the money into the maturity easy access account set up by them when the RS was opened. This might happen tomorrow or the day after. The Halifax RS doesn't allow "early" closure so I'm sitting with an account to which the interest has been added but which I can't yet access. Why can't they design things so that it all happens at the same time???Had the same issue here - but the money was available the next day.Cost me about 3p? I don't know if this still applies, but at one time the cash could be accessed over the telephone on the due day.1

Yes, it's been dumped into their Closed Issue list.
That list also has the previous 2 RS accounts listed - why they still show the "with bonus" amounts I have no idea - the last bonus was in 2020 (I have the 1st issue)
All their adult accounts pay 0.1% (exc. ISA). Looks fun.0 -

Had the letter today about the maturing RS. On maturity date it becomes an Instant Access Online Saver paying 0.5% variable, which isn't bad in the current climate to keep open with nominal sums. There's no mention of a replacement even though the accompanying T&Cs booklet about personal savings accounts includes it. As the leaflet's print date is shown as SEP20 I'm sure it can't be relied on. It's not on the website.1 -
Principality 22
Interest added, change in account title etc, can be closed and balance withdrawn.0 -

The online saver account is 0.05%.
The message I posted a month ago on here:

Message:
Looking over your account I can see that your Fixed Regular Saver will mature on the xx/xx/2021. We will write to you nearer the time to advise you of this but upon maturity the balance will be moved into an Online Saver Account. There is no notice period on this account for withdrawals so you can withdraw your balance immediately if you wished.
Alternatively, if you wish to withdraw the funds from your Fixed Regular Saver now you can give the 33 days notice to avoid a penalty, or instruct us via secure message and we can process a payment on a chosen date but there may be an early access penalty
