I am thinking of opening a Virgin Regular Saver which ends on 20/4/21 but not clear what constitutes a 'month' as in you can pay in up to £250 per 'month'. eg if I opened one tonight 31/3/20 with £250 when could I next pay in / how could I maximise what I pay in by 20/4/21?
Per Calendar Month. Open and fund today with £250 and you can also fund tomorrow with another £250
I'd like to think so! but I couldn't see that in the t&c

It's very clearly displayed on multiple pages as PCM .....After having 30 virgin RS accounts I think I'm used to them by now ;-)

I've signed up so I'll test that after midnight! can see 'calendar'  stated in the summary blurb of the results when I google 'virgin regular saver' but not after i've clicked on the link and been taken to the virgin website, if you could find a link on the virgin website i'd appreciate it so I can take a screenshot, thanks

YBS announced a reduction of monthly saver interest rates on 18/3/20 with new interest rates from 5/4/20 - MS 2% down to
1.5%, MS2 2.5% down to 2% and MS3 2.1% down to 1.6%. Their email today has a link giving MS interest rates with no mention of the above reduction happening on 5/4/20 and gives the impression that the MS 2%, MS2 2.5% and MS3 2.1% interest rates apply until 20/4/20. A double reduction announcement in interest rates in less than a fortnight is not a good way to treat customers, especially not by giving correct up to date information . Regular savers have been the last comparatively safe haven for reasonable savings interest rates -  further erosion is only a matter of time. Stay safe everyone!

My YBS regular saver has just matured - and they don't seem to have new regular savers available for sale at present.

I can find a pdf document that purports to be key product info for issue 15 but the dates and interest in it are for issue 14, though it does say calendar month

I'd leave it until tomorrow morning before making your second deposit as not sure what time they update their accounts in the night

You may find that your first payment isn’t logged until 1st April. Some bank systems record payments made late in the day with the following day’s date.

In addition, Virgin Money will initially show any transactions as pending for a day or two.

Thank goodness for all the fixed rate accounts. I expect all accounts that are not fixed will now be reduced

I've got 18 RSs paying 2% or more fixed. I wonder how rosy that will look in 12 months' time! I might even be under £1000 pa interest for tax purposes in 2021/22.

I'm hoping I will be too!  Opened the Virgin ISA a couple of weeks ago for 1.31%.  A week earlier I wouldn't have even looked at it!  Let's hope the rate on that doesn't go down (although I won't hold my breath)
