Well, the account name still states Regular saver and their easy access account only offers 4.75%. Also, their last message about maturity approaching said that they would email me when the funds were transferred into an instant access account, so I guess I'll have to wait and see...trickydicky14 said:
I think you will find your RS has matured and now you have an easy access account paying 5% which in my books is well worth keeping and you can add to it.ernie-money said:Gatehouse interestI hope this question hasn't already been asked- I can't work out how to search within the thread anymore! My Gatehouse RS is just maturing and it had 7% interest/profit, but when I logged on today (maturity day) to double check if I'd put instructions for the maturity funds, it says 5% prfit on the screen. Does anyone know if this is for if the funds remain there, or have they reduced the interest (profit) during the term, without me being aware..?I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0 -
The RS allowed no withdrawals. Try withdrawing £5, just having the facility to withdraw means it's an Easy Access.Well, the account name still states Regular saver and their easy access account only offers 4.75%. You could just look at the T&Cs of this new account.........1 -

The Reg Saver has matured into an Easy Access Regular Saver Account issue 1 paying 5%. The account No. will have changed from REGxxxxxxxXXX to ERGxxxxxxxXXX i.e only the first 3 letters change. Log into your account and look/see.1 -
I think in practice at maturity, they just rename the RS account, change the account number (REG to ERG) and make it Easy Access @ 5% - either that, or they create a new account but copy the old RS transactions across!ernie-money said:

summary from previous posts...- it's an EA account with unlimited withdrawals & deposits.
- 5% AER - can change from annual (default) to monthly interest if you wish.
- 30 days notice for negative interest rate changes.
- AFAIK, we are still waiting for terms & conditions for the account to be published.

On the searching issue:s71hj said:
It being hard to search the thread means that questions get asked about things which are already covered earlier in the thread which even if they are on tangent contributes to the bursting at the seamssimonsmithsays said:
This is a definitely more of a problem when a previously fantastic thread is bursting at the seams with posts which are hugely off tangent....s71hj said:

(Of which my post is too).
I've saved a bookmarked link which I reuse whenever I want to search this thread (wouldn't remember how to do it otherwise). Just replace the first word (in this instance Gatehouse) with whatever you are searching for....
Gatehouse site:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6106986
Not perfect, but reasonably effective search, hopefully may be of use to those struggling with the search facility.
Can be adapted for other threads by changing the thread number on the end to the appropriate thread number.9 -
I know it appears odd but believe me it is now an easy access account paying 5% the same happened to me a few weeks ago.ernie-money said:

Submitted maturity instructions to Principality online only to receive a letter in the post adding an 0 to the front of my bank account number, so that the destination account is shown with 9 numbers rather than the usual 8. Is this another one of their quirks or should I be getting in touch?
Previously they had omitted the 0 from my sort code and I got the money fine, but that is correctly shown this time. I have a screenshot from the process showing that I entered my details correctly and did not input the 0.0 -
They've done that with mine too. Hoping it's just a quirk.Kim_13 said:Submitted maturity instructions to Principality online only to receive a letter in the post adding an 0 to the front of my bank account number, so that the destination account is shown with 9 numbers rather than the usual 8. I've received an email from Gatehouse about my regular saving acc maturing next month. Not sure what I'm going to do with my money after that. No signs of another regular saver acc from Gatehouse 🙃1
