Can anybody remind me which regular saver accounts can take funding on Sunday 1st and which ones only from Monday 2nd using manual transfers? I know some can take an incoming payment on Sunday but won't pay you interest, which is why they need funding on Monday.
    Sunday
Aldermore, BoS, Coventry, Gatehouse, Halifax, Lloyds, Melton, Newcastle, Nottingham, Nationwide, Principality, TSB, YBS.
    Monday
Co-op, Hanley, Loughborough, Mansfield, MHBS, MonBS, Progressive, Saffron, Skipton, VM, RBS, Natwest.
VM accepts deposits 7 days a week.
  • For people who had their Gatehouse reg saver (EPR 7%) mature, what was the actual profit rate you received? Is it 7% or a tad different?
I received £151 which is a bit more than I expected.
Don't know how to calculate what that is in interest and couldn't be bothered anyway.

Just paid £250 into my Virgin RS and it’s showing as Pending so suspect posting date will end up being the 2nd (next working day).

I've deposited to VM at weekend and it showed as next working day.  I don't know whether the money is credited on the date sent, but I assume it is not.

When I last deposited into my RS at the weekend (from an external account) it was credited immediately, but was future dated to the next working day.

I have visions of many of us on here transferring money at this very moment to their different RS accounts and monitoring when the money shows. Yes, that’s me too  :p
  • Yesterday, Saturday, I sent  £7K to my ex Gatehouse regular saver account that's now paying 5%. Today, Sunday, I received an email confirming they had received the money. I'm impresse d.

The important part is the interest, whether it is credited at weekend or next working day. Deposits to LBG dated to the next working day but interest is credited from the date of arrival.  I'm not sure if VM is doing the same, I suspect they don't and therefore I don't deposit into VM RS at weekends.  It would be great is somebody who knows for sure clarified this.

Well 1K at 10% is worth 27p per day and not something that would concern very many people.
