I have them in my records as paying on 30th December last year, although 31st December 2023 was a Sunday so they might pay on that day otherwise. They then paid the rest on the day the account matured.jim1999 said:
I recall Tipton paying on specific day of the year as well, perhaps 31st DecKim_13 said:
Those that don’t pay on anniversary or maturity are the exception. From the top of my head:Mee said:I note Kim_13 mentioned 'interest payment date (tax)' above. Has anyone done a comprehensive list of RS and/or other accounts and their interest payment dates?

Melton - 31 March
Hinckley and Rugby - 1 December

I've got Leeds BS down as accepting deposits on non-working days.allegro120 said:
Don't know about Leeds, but West Brom is OK for weekends.LZC said:
Thank you, that is incredibly helpful.allegro120 said:

Aldermore, BoS, Coventry, Gatehouse, Halifax, Lloyds, Melton, Newcastle, Nottingham, Nationwide, Principality, TSB, YBS.

Co-op, Hanley, Loughborough, Mansfield, MHBS, MonBS, Progressive, Saffron, Skipton, VM, RBS, Natwest.Does anyone know the answer for West Brom and Leeds?
Due to a quirk of the calendar December 2024 is the first of 4 consecutive months where 1st falls on a non-working day so these lists become of particular use.6 -
I'm curious how long this maturity account Gatehouse have moved us into will remain at 5% for.0

Co-op Regular Saver
Is it possible to close this account early and then re-open a new one fairly soon after? If so, what is the method? I can't see how to close the account online.0 -
It’s such a better (and a market leading) account than expected, so I’m just happy to have it. I’d say we must surely be in for at least 6 months, but I wouldn’t like to predict longer.t1redmonkey said:I'm curious how long this maturity account Gatehouse have moved us into will remain at 5% for.0 -
But they're in a contract with us that says 30 days ???Kim_13 said:
They changed this from 1 October. Had about 3 letters advising of it in early September (not that that left quite 30 days notice to implement the change from 30 days to 14, but anyway.)Nick_C said:

I can't see how to close the account online. You have to close the Co-Op RS by phone. It takes around 3-4 days for the RS to fully close. The capital is moved into your co-op current account on activation of the closure followed by the interest once the RS is fully closed. You can re-apply for a new reg saver on the same day as you activate the closure of the old, as it also takes a few days for the new RS to be opened.~ NSD 2026 - NSD January 0/20 (1)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel 2026 - On Rest# No.36 Make £2026 in 2026 £0 / £2026 (1)# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2026 £0 / £730 (1)# No.2 Save 1p A Day 2026 £0 / £667.95 (1)# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge 2026 £0 / £1378 (1)# No.4 Save £12k in 2026 £0 / £12,000 (1)# No.14 Sealed Pot Challenge 2026 £0 / £400 (1)2 -
We would be deemed to have accepted the change having not opted to close our accounts by 1 October when the change they advised of came into effect. There was potentially a complaint in the letter being received inside the 30 days then required to make the change, but I figured it would probably have been 30+ without a poor postal service.s71hj said:

Don’t worry! That reduction of interest for 16 days will only reduce your overall interest by less than £1.s71hj said:

I opened a Principality Christmas 2025 RS last night, tried to fund it but COP not working with the account number/reference I was given. Tried again this morning but get the same message. I am tempted to go ahead anyway because if possible I would like to make a November payment today and December payment tomorrow.
Is it normal for COP to take a while to start working especially over a weekend? Should be low risk to ignore the warning if I'm sure about the details? Will a payment made today (Saturday 30 November) get credited as a November payment?0
