jaypers said:For those interested in the Zopa Regular Saver and are keen to be invited to open the Zopa Bank Account, which is needed to qualify for the RS, there is a waitlist you can sign up to. Not sure if this makes things any more likely or quicker, but maybe worth a go - https://www.zopa.com/bank-account
Edit: I see what I did. I don't usually follow links, so I went via Zopa's website, and the link to it there has the additional word "help" in the URL (hence I got the same previous message).0 -
Just got an email from Darlington BS
12 month Regular saver, 5.10% variable pay up to £250 a month. 2 withdrawals a year.
May appeal to some.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.3 -
Skipton have announced their rate changes effective from 9th December 2024. I can’t see any mention of their Home Deposit Saver Issue 1 5.06% being reduced. My eyesight isn’t great so please correct me if I’m wrong.https://www.skipton.co.uk/-/media/skipton-co-uk/pdf/savings/dec-9th-rate-changes.ashx

I was also searching for the 7% regular saver on that list, only to realise that account isn't a variable rate! (d'oh! 😳)2 -
Monmouthshire BS have updated their rates today. I believe having a quick scan of the NLA regular savers, they've not reduced any of them: https://media.monbs.com/savings/withdrawn-variable-rate-accounts/
They have however withdrawn their 4.5% regular saver issue 4 today, and replaced it with an issue 5 at 4.15%.7 -
Stafford Building Society have announced:
"On 7th November 2024 the Bank of England reduced the Bank Base Rate from 5.00% to 4.75%, a reduction of 0.25%.
We have therefore reviewed the rates payable on our mortgage and savings accounts and made the decision to reduce all variable savings rates and our mortgage Standard Variable Rate for residential mortgages by the same amount, 0.25%. The changes will take effect from 1st December 2024 for savers and 1st January 2025 for borrowers.
Impacted, eligible members will receive a personal notification of the change this month."
Link to the announcement, here.
Therefore, the Stafford Regular Saver (issue 1) rate will reduce from 5.15% to 4.90% from 1st December 2024.
