  • For app based Tipton Reg Saver maturing, as per the maturity options emailed this morning. For people who intend to withdraw all the balance:

Acct closure processed on the first working day following maturity.

Funds in Nom acct within 2 working days following maturity date

    Maturity: 31 Oct 2024 Thu

    Closure: 1 Nov 2024 Fri

Funds in Nom acct: 4 Nov 2024 Mon (hopefully)

So loss of interest for 3 days. Not that bad, then why do i feel bad?

May be because I would rather fund my high paying reg savers on 1st of the month

I got the info about the tipton maturity today as well. I tried to do a partial withdrawal just so I could keep an account with tipton while withdrawing most of the money, but it keeps saying that it's under maintenance....
I was going to do that but it doesn’t have a leave X option, only asks how much you want to withdraw, so the interest would be left there. If it wasn’t for the Monmouthshire style access to funds and an additional delay due to the weekend, it wouldn’t be so annoying to go back and withdraw the interest later. Considering doing nothing and hoping that as I haven’t asked for closure, I can get the money on the 1st and if not, then I still get interest at the lower rate for the extra days.

    YBS Christmas Regular eSaver 2024

Got the email about maturity on 31/10/24. Seems funds will be transfered to an Easy Access Saver Issue 2 (quoted @ 4.60%) on 01/11/24. Which will do me fine, can shift it around after that.
Any difference between EAS Issue 1 and 2?

    Issue 1 isn't available?  :)

But in all seriousness, not sure. It's just what the details were in the email about what will happen with the RS.

Rest assured it's not just you. As usual it's their buggy app (I have another app-based savings account that won't even allow me to withdraw at all through the app, saying the option only applies to accounts opened via the app

I'll decide next week whether I can be bothered to contact them or just do the partial withdrawal once the account morphs to the instant access maturity.

    Tipton Maturity

I would like to let £10 roll over into the easy access and transfer the rest, in order to keep a finger in their pie. There doesn't seem to be an option to do a bit of this and a bit of that - has anyone else tried contacting them and seeing if they'll do such a thing?

I called Tipton today and was wanting to do like you, to open the Easy Access Maturity Acct. with £20, just to keep a relationship with Tipton, and have them transfer the rest of my savings to my nominated acct. on maturity.

I was told just to send these instructions in a message via the Tipton app. and my wishes would be actioned.
I did that and had an acknowledgment via the Tipton app messaging and confirmation in less than an hour.
    Hopefully that’s it sorted.

Exactly the same issue here... I have messaged Tipton to see what they suggest. Will revert if applicable.

Based on my previous experience the money will arrive to your bank account on the working day after withdrawal.  So in this case it will be Monday 4th November.  I'm planning to close the account on 31st October so I can get my funds on Friday 1st November instead.
The email says to close the account you have to either pop in to a branch or write to them, so are you planning to go to a branch?

I have an option to close mine in online banking (select the account, go to account options, close my account).
