  • Just opened the 6.25% Coventry Sunny Day, really easy to open, funded (probably won't show up for a while but yeah).

Already a member of the society, I opened the Coventry Sunny Day Saver last night at 10.30pm via the app. (The app has now been updated to allow in app opening.)  Account opened in less than a minute! Funded it by fast transfer from a current acc. and funds showing in the account at 7am this morning.
    Very good experience.
I'm also an existing member, the Android app doesn't really allow in app opening, the app does however direct to the website to open the account.

Can't believe how quick it was to open, literally just confirming my details, so glad I updated my address via secure message 1st though as the website seems to want you to download/fill out a change of address form on the application page if you want to change address.

My 1st £150 is showing up now so I'm a happy bunny.

Next step for me is closing the 5.75% (or whatever it is now) YBS Loyalty Regular and moving the funds to my 7% Santander Edge Saver.
Closed the YBS one, hopefully getting those funds by end of tomorrow. 😊

Think my minimum rate for regulars is now 6%, highest 10%. 😊

Always fun to initially simplify and get better accounts 🤣

Hope you've kept at least one account with YBS for future loyalty eligibility.

Still got their 7% Loyalty, 6% Xmas & a few Internet Saver Plus & a Easy Access account, plus Online Rainy Day & a Loyalty Six Access 😁

Yep, seems you've got that covered!
  • I have the Triple Access Saver at Coventry BS, if I transfer funds from this account to fund the Sunny Day Saver, will that count as a withdrawal from the account or are internal transfers exempt?
Agree it will count as a withdrawal.

Was on the phone with them on Monday, I opened the Triple on 29/09/23, the lady reminded me, that on 30/09/24 the withdrawals available count will reset to 3.

So depending on when you opened the Triple, the withdrawal may have less impact.

I've had two withdrawals already so a third would close the account.

I think I opened on the same day you did so I'll hold on for the reset.
It won't close the account. It will just be your third allowed withdrawal. I've made 3 and am waiting for it to reset later this month to make any more.

YBS Loyalty ReS 2023 - Can we set our own maturity preference? Email says will convert into easy access saver issue 2, but I want funds to go to an existing easy access with them on maturity automatically (without needing to do it on the date). How can I do this please?

The Coventry app updated for me on IOS just yesterday and that update included the ability to open new accounts very easily.
No doubt the Android version will follow quickly with the same feature.

I'm not sure, but is it really needed? You can make a faster payment from Nationwide which will go out instantly.
