Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

The new YBS RS Account is being launched during UK Savers Week which aims to encourage people to start saving if not doing so already. For some people this could be the start of a healthy savings habit. To save £50 pm is better than saving nothing and can lead to larger savings. Larger deposits allowed in some RS's though not compulsory may seem daunting to a lot of people when starting their savings journey.
Maybe Beehive will bring one out for UK Savers Week too as they did last year. Maybe other banks too.

Nottingham/Beehive tend to offer something, we will see.Growingold said:

Just considering whether to take out a Santander RS to add to the rest, advantage being that the interest rate of 5% can’t be reduced. Only £200 pcm allowed but maybe a no brainer as no restrictions etc.2

When does the YBS regular saver open?1

I have it opened, it doesn't require any balance or deposits, can't go wrong with it.jaypers said:Just considering whether to take out a Santander RS to add to the rest, advantage being that the interest rate of 5% can’t be reduced. Apologies if this has been covered, I received my ‘Signatory form’ from Monmouth B.S for the regular saver, I have added the new account online which is now pending. The form has just been put into the post box today. How soon do I need to wait before I can send some money to the account.
Thanks
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
I've just come back 30mins ago from sending the form back at the post office, and have already paid in using the usual details and my new account ref. I did the same last year with the RSes and had no problems.trickydicky14 said:Apologies if this has been covered, I received my ‘Signatory form’ from Monmouth B.S for the regular saver, I have added the new account online which is now pending. I'm not sure how much longer Beehive will exist (as a brand). It could be The Nottingham decide to hold off and instead use the launch of a new savings product to gain publicity for what comes next. (just speculation)Growingold said:...

I added the account to online banking as soon as I had the account number. It showed as pending. I then paid into the account before posting the signature form. Thus managed to get the account funded on 30 August.trickydicky14 said:Apologies if this has been covered, I received my ‘Signatory form’ from Monmouth B.S for the regular saver, I have added the new account online which is now pending. On that basis I don't think you need to wait.3
