    YBS new RS

    Fantastic offering at 8%

For those poo pooing the £50 per month.

Just think when a different institution offers a similar product for another £50 at a similar rate

And then another offers one at a similar rate

Before you know it you're running with scores of RS.

    All maturing at different times.

    All feeding each other.

And all ensuring your overall interest rate is very significant than your could get elsewhere.

And ensuring you have a presence in lots of institutions should a product or a prize draw or a loyalty bonus is paid.

Some on here have been doing it for years and years.
It has the same terms as the Saffron Members' Month RS
one difference is that Saffron is a fixed rate, the YBS will be variable.

Maybe Beehive will bring one out for UK Savers Week too as they did last year.  Maybe other banks too.

Nottingham/Beehive tend to offer something, we will see.

Just considering whether to take out a Santander RS to add to the rest, advantage being that the interest rate of 5% can’t be reduced. Only £200 pcm allowed but maybe a no brainer as no restrictions etc.
  • When does the YBS regular saver open?

I have it opened, it doesn't require any balance or deposits, can't go wrong with it.

When does the YBS regular saver open?
    Next Monday.
  • Apologies if this has been covered, I received my ‘Signatory form’ from Monmouth B.S for the regular saver, I have added the new account online which is now pending. The form has just been put into the post box today. How soon do I need to wait before I can send some money to the account.

    Thanks

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

I've just come back 30mins ago from sending the form back at the post office, and have already paid in using the usual details and my new account ref. I did the same last year with the RSes and had no problems.

I'm not sure how much longer Beehive will exist (as a brand).  It could be The Nottingham decide to hold off and instead use the launch of a new savings product to gain publicity for what comes next. (just speculation)
