  • According to Moneyfacts, Coventry BS will launch a new RS:

    Sunny Day Saver  -  6.25% p.a., 12 month term, max £150 pm, max investment £1950.

    It's unclear if the interest rate is to be fixed or variable, but on past form I assume it'll be variable.
    It's variable. Full Ts&Cs below:

    It's currently available to open in online banking, I've just opened it.

    Thanks. TBH, I can't remember any RS product ever having been launched on a Sunday. I feel this might be a first.
    I must confess it took me by surprise, I don't usually check moneyfacts on Sundays for this reason. That being said it's a nice surprise and I've sent funds over to it.

    It goes by calendar month so if it's still available towards the end of the month I'll refresh it to get the 13th payment in.

    Thanks for the heads up, just opened one. If only the likes of Monmouth B.S could be so easy to set up.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.
  • Many thanks for the heads up, Coventry reg saver is up and running payment made and SO all sorted.
    5 minutes tops.

    Forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by "If it’s available towards the end of the month I’ll refresh it to get the 13th payment in"?
  • Both of my YBS 7.0% and Nationwide 8.0% regular savers have received their 12th payments last month, and are due to mature at some point this month.

    Is it possible/worthwhile depositing another payment? I think some people complained  a while ago, about Mon BS not applying interest properly to the 13th payment as the account had reached the deposit limit (12 monthly payments)?

    Is it showing as received on 1st or 2nd (tomorrow)? I had Nationwide down as one where it doesn’t get credited at weekends.
