Just realised it is on the online accounts but you have to swipe across (not obvious on mobile).

I tried applying, got to end, told me to call or submit an enquiry.

I applied for this 22/8 & received signature letter today.  I’ve added account to ‘My Accounts’ & sent initial £500 by FP this morning. I’ll post signature form tomorrow & set up SO from 1 Sept as soon as £500 appears. 

Signature letter dated 21/8 (day of application) received today and sent back today. Added the account successfully to the home page and sent £100 by FP today, intending to add £400 once it shows. Optimistic that it will be done and dusted in August for adding to it next month. 
My Exclusive 1 matures on Friday but I wasn't prepared to risk waiting.

My £500 sent yesterday morning is not yet showing in MONBS RS account. Account just shows ‘Pending’, but no balance. I had expected it to be credited today. 

I’m bored this afternoon & keen to get MONBS up & running & 1 Sept SO set up before I go away for 3 weeks this weekend. ‘Pending’ has now disappeared so assume they’re busy crediting yesterday’s FPs. Got a mental picture of ladies in full Welsh National costume, entering figures in a huge ledger in beautiful copperplate script. 

Honestly, I’m not normally this obsessive & I do really like MONBS & Principality, even if they are a tad old fashioned.  

Those hard working ladies are probably now tucking into a nice slice of Bara Brith and a cup of tea.

The hard working gentleman was not doing that when I went in branch at 4.40 today. I phoned them earlier to find my online application from last Wednesday had gone walkabout. Went in and 10 minuters later had a new shiny passbook with £500 deposited. Normally it would take longer but as one lady said if I have already applied online I would have already seen the T&Cs.

Am I to understand that they had lost and/or had no record of your account opening? I applied last Wednesday and haven't heard anything from them. I may just go into a branch tomorrow.

Applied online 21st and nothing so rang just now 29th only to be told application can't be found sorry you need to re apply. I know I'm not the first to get this response.

Maybe there's a backlog of applications & can't be tracked?

Yes MBS do have a backlog so I was told but my application does not exist on the system so will never get processed.

Yesterday was a Bank Holiday so they will not have processed the maturity/withdrawal until today. Should appear in your MONBS online tomorrow (Wednesday)

I hope you're right.

Seeing two both as RS the day after maturity isn't normal for the dozens of other RS I have - even with the BH considered.

Hopefully they received the postal maturity instructions as they once again didn't advise me.

It's a shame the maturity instructions online aren't a little more sophisticated to include all permutations.

I'll be interested to see that the final bounced £300 (and recredited) payment has accrued the correct level of interest too.

Mine matured today and is still showing as unmatured. I assume it will update overnight hopefully.

In case anyone is anxious about getting a test payment and the remainder in before the end of the month... 

I received my account number late yesterday and sent a test transfer of £50 after close of business. (Normally I only ever send £1 even if I know it'll bounce back but didn't want to mess around so close to the end of the month) 

I just spoke to someone there now who has confirmed that he can see that it has arrived safely already, even though I know it'll take a couple of days to be visible from my end.

Just wondering how long it takes to setup. Looking to set it up and wondering about timings, as the SO is setup for the day it's 'created'? Just want to get to close to the end of the month or worse case, start of the month.

From memory, the last one I did was 4 working days.

One day for me. The first payment is taken internally from your current account (even on weekends), and if you really need a specific SO date for subsequent payments, you can cancel the SO that's automatically created for you and set one up yourself.
