Has the new Gatehouse account launched? Can you hold both regular saver accounts?
Yes it has been launched. Their terms seem to be a little unclear about this point but I've just been able to open issue 2 of their regular saver a despite already holding issue 1. I've yet to fund issue 2 though.

"Only individuals can open an account and only ONE Regular Saver account is allowed per person. Joint accounts are not permitted."

I had this problem a few days ago as I made my last payment 01/03/2024
    Don't close the RS
The way to solve it is to use the 'renew' option on the regular saver, I suggest you choose the Everyday account
Then open a new RS, it will have a new account number so you can pay into it
When I did this I ended up with 2 Everyday savers, one from the renew action and another that just magically appeared. You can then close these leaving your Instant Saver account
How do you close them.  There doesn't seem to be an option? I have collected several accounts I don't need.

There is an option in the app. Select the more option associated with the account you want to close then you are presented with an option to close the account.

Brilliant I have the app but don't really use it.  Managed to close the 3 accounts I don't need.

  • YBS Xmas Saver - maximum monthly deposit?

    YBS have emailed me

    Hi Mr XXXXXXXXX,

With just a few days left in the month, don’t forget you can pay up to £300 per month, until 31st October 2023, into your Christmas 2023 Regular Saver.

It's clearly YBS's famed IT having a woopsy (2023) but am I correct that this year's Xmas RS has a max of £150/mth? Can't find my copy of the KPI.

You are correct, this year's Xmas 2024 RS has a max deposit of £150/mth. The summary box is listed on the Archived list of regular savers thread.

The clocks go forward this month, I wonder if, like last year, YBS will teleport us to 2093 whist they're at it?
