ty, ill just go open coop now.

6 days later and still all I have is the "Thank you for your application email".  Soon I will crack out the "its been 84 years" gif.  Yes I am trying to moan it in.

P.S. good luck on your home purchase Bridlington1.

When I opened mine it appeared in online banking one morning with the option to transfer funds to it, I can't remember receiving an email or anything on the day it became available to fund though. I would therefore just keep checking online banking/the app each morning, I can't imagine it'll take much longer if you applied for the RS 6 days ago though so hopefully you should be able to get it funded by the end of the month.

I'm coming round to the idea of speculatively opening accounts. I'm now considering the Leeds Home Deposit Saver, but understand it is mainly branch/post with "some operations" possible by phone or online. Could someone with the account confirm whether it is possible to set up withdrawals online?
I closed my Leeds HDS online a month or two ago as part of a cull of my lower paying RS accounts. To avoid a cheque in the post you also need an existing Leeds easy access account of any flavour. You can close the HDS and/or internal transfer online very quickly which then enables you to make multiple withdrawals from the EA account whenever needed. If you wish to keep the HDS open bear in mind you can only make 1 withdrawal p.a. from your savings.
Though this is only if you want to close it online, you can close it over the phone and arrange for the final balance to be paid directly into a current account in your name without needing another Leeds BS account, indeed this is what I did with one of their other regular savers not so long back.

    Co Op:
My OH's unactioned application is a month old tomorrow!

They are 'looking into it'... again!

With the possibility her 1st had 'evaporated', she made a 2nd application. It is also unactioned after c.2 weeks - Both applications were acknowledged by email.

That's ridiculous. Hope she gets it sorted. Also hope mine appears of its own accord without having to hassle them. Preferably before I am 60.

Just checked - last accessed 24/03 - nothing showing.

Accessed just now intending to make a complaint... and it's there!

AFAICS There's no way to tell if that's the first or 2nd application... but if she get's 2 I'll let you all know.

You probably make more in compensation by raising a complaint compared to the interest the account would yield.

Too long and boring with the Co Op - they'll let it go to the FOS on cases they're pretty well bound to lose... never mind one that isn't clear cut - no regulated standards to measure against regarding time to open an account.

I might send them a polite internal message today asking about it, as if its not opened and in my online banking tomorrow at some point then I doubt it will be before the 1st.
