Just to add a little to the Furness BS Christmas RS discussion ....
I opened it in one of the branches on 10th (existing member, no ID needed) and used a cash withdrawal from Furness's 3 Access Saver as the deposit for the RS. It did cause a little muttering behind the counter, as the T&C's say ... "Funds cannot be transferred from an existing Furness savings account."
As a cash deposit, I guess they accepted it, as it may not have been regarded as a "transfer"! The RS account was visible online (including the deposit) later the same evening. Passbook received on 12th.
I believe I can make my next deposit on 1st February, which will be a SO from one of my CA's.
Full marks to Furness BS.

Furness Xmas RS - I am an existing customer who disinvested from their RS in 2023 . Cheque deposit for Xmas RS showed up online on Friday, although not yet taken from my current account. Presumably this will happen tomorrow or the next day. I hope this RS remains competitive in 2024, not like their RS`s in 2023. But who knows? Best to have as many "cards in one`s hand".

Thank you for all of your varied contributions here. The information you (and others) have provided has been of immense help and has enabled me to be 'quick off the mark' with various products I was unaware of, all of which has been of direct benefit in enabling me to maximise the funds I have available.
Thank you (and also @Special_Saver2) for being so generous with your time and making the effort. It is very much appreciated.£6000 in 202321 -

I think you are correct - I think Hanley Economic BS Online Regular Saver has been withdrawn. I have now removed it from the list on page 1.SS2

(apologies if boring/irrelevant to any of the 700 million or so potential worldwide English language readers who may be looking at this forum, but please you have my permission, if you really feel you need anyone's permission!, to just skip to next post, but at least I've given a clue what the post is about)
I've opened this account by post with £500 by cheque (apologies, again, if anyone happens to interpret this as me boasting about the size of some part of my body, believe me I wish every part of my body was smaller after Christmas overindulgence) and received the passbook, which records my account as open on 12 January with said opening deposit. I have registered for online access with Furness (involves receiving username by email) but, on logging in, it says that I have no accounts to view by the online portal. I'm wondering if this particular account cannot be viewed online or if the system just hasn't caught up.
Has anyone any experience with Furness' online system?
Apologies again.2 -
Has anyone with a Skipton 7.5% account successfully opened the 7.5% one?0

Do you mean the 7.00% issue 3?
