I'm also a new customer to Furness and had the same experience when I registered for online access for the Christmas Saver - I sent them a secure message about this this morning - they responded just now and said that it won't show your account until you type in the verification code - which they handily gave me in a subsequent secure message. I'm now able to view my account transactions.Hattie627 said:Furness Building Society Christmas RS
(apologies if boring/irrelevant to any of the 700 million or so potential worldwide English language readers who may be looking at this forum, but please you have my permission, if you really feel you need anyone's permission!, to just skip to next post, but at least I've given a clue what the post is about)
I've opened this account by post with £500 by cheque (apologies, again, if anyone happens to interpret this as me boasting about the size of some part of my body, believe me I wish every part of my body was smaller after Christmas overindulgence) and received the passbook, which records my account as open on 12 January with said opening deposit. I have registered for online access with Furness (involves receiving username by email) but, on logging in, it says that I have no accounts to view by the online portal. I'm wondering if this particular account cannot be viewed online or if the system just hasn't caught up.
Has anyone any experience with Furness' online system?

Has anyone with a Skipton 7.5% account successfully opened the 7.5% one?0

Do you mean the 7.00% issue 3?
- You can only hold one Member Regular Saver account (either a Member Regular Saver or a Branch Member Regular Saver) in your name at any one time.

Skipton Member RS @ 7.5% fixed is NLA. You can close it without penalty and then open the new issue 3 @7%. This means you are securing a 7% fixed RS until January 2025. Who knows how long issue 3 @7% will be available for. If you need the capital held in your old Member RS now, or want the interest payment in this tax year then closing the old one and then opening a new one albeit with a .5% drop might work out better. For the moment I will stick with the old NLA 7.5% Member RS.

Skipton now have EA for 5.5% 1 year up to £3k
Better than 5.2% santander EA
Which mean I probs not gonna bother with 5.5% RS3 -

It needs to be quick to do, because it will only earn you around £5 more than leaving the money in an easy access acvounrFrogletina said:YBS Christmas regular saver is now ready to open. Very quick to do as an existing customer.

That may well be the case for some people but for me this suits a particular purpose with new money being allocated to it.Stargunner said:

Many thanks to @Frogletina for letting us know.£6000 in 20235 -
Can you fund this from an existing Easy Access saver or does it have to be from an external nominated account?Frogletina said:YBS Christmas regular saver is now ready to open. Very quick to do as an existing customer.
