    Scottish Building Society adult Regular Saver at 1.35% variable seems to be missing from the list.  Deposit £10-£500 a month, 12 month term. No withdrawals during term but interest paid up to any early closure.  Applications can be made by post, downloading form from their website.

    I think this has been mentioned before - isn't it a faff to set this one up? Certified copies of ID etc??

    "I am only including accounts where the interest rate is 1.5% or better, or 1% if the interest rate is fixed."

    I never had to provide certified ID to the Scottish BS but you are right, it's a bit of a faff as it is a postal / Branch only account.

    Yes that's right. Two of us here had to do that.

    Even when this RS was closed early (and later another opened up) physical documents had to be sent again.
