Club Lloyds and standard Lloyds monthly savers reduced to 1.5% and 1% respectively. Halifax regular saver also fallen to 1%.
There's now clear blue water between the First Direct, HSBC and M&S savers (still at 2.75%) and any others which are available online. Only a matter of time before they follow suit?

When the Royston Vasey regular saver matures you have to go the the local post office after hours and in person to collect. The terms and conditions also mention to go unaccompanied and to tell no one.2

I too followed the link to the Vernon - I live in the area. It's actually very interesting - 1.45% on max £500 per month. I've asked them if opening an account online would be possible in the current circumstances. Not very hopeful.0
