  • T&C say the Gatehouse account can only be funded from the nominated account. Do we think they won't mind it coming from an internal transfer?

"You can fund your account via bank transfer or cheque, only from your nominated account."

Just wondering if I can get away with opening the account and funding with an internal transfer this late in the day?

ETA I just tried to transfer from one account to another internally and the date of transfer is pre-populated with tomorrow's date. I'm not going to risk an external transfer in getting there in time so I'll just wait and open the account tomorrow.,

I did an internal transfer. It went across fine and shows up in the new regular account.
The instructions about funding the account is, I think, a general one. It would be a bit petty to stop an internal transfer. Sure it’s actually locking your money away for 12 months with Gatehouse while the other account didn’t, but I will wait and see what happens.

    Digital Payback

The National Lottery : A tax on those who aren’t good at maths.

When I applied it offered to take it from my easy access account with them.
I went for bank and SO each month.

Yes I think it's a general one to reiterate that you can only transact with the nominated account, they probably didn't think about including internal transfer option in description. I will attempt my second payment by internal transfer tomorrow.
  • Leeds BS Regular Saver Issue 46 has now been replaced by Issue 47 at the same rate with a new maturity date of 30/11/25.

Hinckley & Rugby Regular Saver 30 Day Notice have now paid their interest, which should be showing in online banking.

Also of note is that there is now one month left (until 31/12/23) to make a one off deposit of up to £12k into the SRBS regular saver (5.15%).

HSBC Regular Saver matured overnight. Never disappeared from online banking like it has done previously. It has turned into a Pref Reg Sav paying 2%, but I cannot seem to withdraw from it yet

The same happened for me earlier in the week. It will disappear tomorrow and if you have one the balance will be transferred to one of your instant access savings accounts and be available for withdrawal. If you don't have a savings account IIRC the regular saver should convert into one.

Mine matured today too.  I transferred the balance to my HSBC current account, and then away from there.

I'll try on the website and see what happens then...

UPDATE I've gone online and managed to transfer it. I'll have to see whether I can do the same with First Direct later in the month

Gatehouse. Transferred £300 from EA to RS and the message said that it will be transferred tomorrow, but few minutes later the money appeared in RS.
