NW Reg Saver @ 8%. can i open/fund last day of month A
    Sure
then add funds on day 1 of month B? then day 1 from there on?
    With the Nationwide RS yes
     would i fund 12 or 13 times?
    Again, with NW 13
Is this general amongst RS or have Nationwide simply left a loophole open?

All savings accounts, including regular savers, have their own T&Cs so you can't generalise too much but these 'calendar month' type RSs are common. It's not really a loophole, just how they work
  • Usually, if there is no maximum amount stipulated in T&C`s for final balance after 12 months, then you can get 13 monthly payments fitted in. This is more advantageous the later in the month the RS matures ie the 13th payment will have more of the month to gain interest.
If there is a maximum amount quoted then it is normally 12 times the maximum monthly contribution.
  • I set my Nationwide standing order to make its last payment on September 1st 2024.
    Payment 13.
Will see if it’s allowed next year.

It should be ok. There's no maximum allowance in t&c. At least in my experience, 13th payments have always worked with accounts that don't state the max sum allowed to deposit.

@Bridlington1 I notice you have Stafford Railway at 5.15% in your list, but I thought it was only 4.9%. I can't see anything else mentioned either on the front page of this thread or on SRBS's website?
It rises to 5.15% from 4.9% WEF 1st October 2023
I have closed my SRBS account. Even at 5.15% it doesn’t any longer cut the mustard for me. I was also not attracted by their £12k deposit offer. I put money into the 6.1% NS&I GGB and into the 5.2% Santander instant access instead.
There are other RS accounts paying even less than SBRS, for example Barclays rainy day at 5.12%. Well done for following principles

Will see if YBS allows it also.
    Worth a try. Thanks

If you have a nationwide account of your own and also a joint account with your wife is it possible to have two of the 8% regular savers between you, or is one the limit?
