    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello:Hello!

Sorry I have been away for a while with more dentistry problems, had to have a tooth out on Tuesday (ouch!) and then had an interview the next day! and then a Christmas meal out with the girls I used to work with, I coped by ordering a lovely tomato and red pepper soup and bubble and squeak to eat and I guess the interview went ok because I start back at work (on just 2 little shifts for now) in January! :j:j:j I have to really pace myself but feel pretty confident I will cope and will take notice if any symptoms come back again. The wage isn't much but every little will help as we want to reduce the mortgage by 10% again this year and also have dentistry bills ahead

Anyway today is a using it up day, sweet potato soup is bubbling away and now I have to find a way to use up:
    3 courgettes
breadcrumbs (could open tin of toms and make courgette and tom bake)
    lots of apples (apple sauce?)
    brocolli
    winter cabbage
    white cabbage
    carrots
    small piece of cheese
    some small onions
    some organic potatoes

scuzz - hopefully all the bad stuff is out of the way now and only nice things will happen - keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I haven't caught up on rest of the thread over the last week but ((((hugs)))) to all those that could use one.

    Catz x

Just popping back. have two questions:

    1. Anyone tried the £1 asda party frozen foods yet? Sending DP (darling partner???) god i'm bad at these initials, wish I could have a tutorial on them! ahaha:p Anyway I'm sending him straight after work as we need them for a birthday party on saturday lunchtime. If they aren't too good please tell me now!

    2. Have you ever posted new threads on other forums and been totally ignored? This happens to me whenever I venture out of the OS forum on to others.....Please tell me this happens to others too. I don't smell or anything!:D :rotfl:
  • Hello everyone.

thought i would pop in and see what you are all up to as i am off work sick at the minute. I've also had DS unwell for the past few days, so it was nice this morning to drop him off at nursery and come back home for a mooch on here, and do some of the housework.

Nice to see so many of the old faces around and hello to any who i haven't met before. I have to say, i find it hard to find time to get on here since going back to work so i tend to stick to the flyladies mostly.

Anyway, big hugs to anyone having a bad day, week or year. I know the feeling but trying to stay very positive as there is always someone who has it a lot worse. ;) Keep your chins up.

    Love to you all

    Morning all,
It’s a beautiful day here…bright sunshine and very cold. Sadly it shows the state of my windows
    Pink

Pink - my windows are so bad we've just invested a fortune in venetian blinds ----I'll do anything rather than clean windows

tired mum, I hope you and your ds are ok today, please let us know how he gets on at school.

DD2 (aged 17) driving me mad at the moment. After 5 very happy years at our local school which is a 5 minute walk away but which has no 6th form (we live in a small market town) she has had to move on to a 6th Form which is 12 miles away and means an hour long bus journey each way which she loathes - says it's packed to the gunnels, dirty, noisy and usually late. I sympathise but I really wish she wouldn't come home and treat me as though it's my fault!

Cooked some mince and finely chopped veg in slow cooker overnight intending to make cottage pie for dinner....but don't fancy that now - any ideas what to do instead?

Yes, ive tried them, really nice (i do prefer HM, but at xmas its lovely to have a night or 2 off, and just stick some ready made stuff in the oven!!!) and better value than the ones in Iceland - they taste just the same!!!

    Afternoon everyone.
Well DD feels slightly better, she fell to sleep on the living room floor whilst watching cat in the hat, and had a good 2 hours, and has woke up feeling better and has ate some toast, so im hoping she is over the worst of it.
I could really do with her being at school tommorow, as have to go and get my car taxed and take dh car for the dredded Mot retest tommorow dinner, which dispite us buying 2 new pairs of wipers one straight from manafactor the problem it failed on still persists:mad: , clears the screen on way up but smears on way down!!
Dont know what else to do and tommorow is the last day for a free retest, just hoping it doesnt do it when he test it!!
As we have a buyer for his car if it has full mot on it, as we have decided we can manage with just the one car now dh new job is near to home, this will save us £1115 a year in petrol, tax, mots insurance and that figure doesnt include any repairs!!:j :j
So far today apart from clearing lots of sicky mess up, iv cleaned the fridge, prepared a chicken dinner for tea, tidied and hoovered the whole of upstairs and done 3 loads of washing.:T
Just having five before setting of to pick boys up
    Catch you all later

    Afternoon all :)

I was working with someone really lazy last night on my nightshift so I worked my little bottom off and slept until now
OH started his new job today, went off in his suit and tie - very sharp. Unfortunately I was only able to grunt a 'goodbye', hope he's getting on alright.

Really must get up and do something. It's a lovely day here today, bright, crisp and cold - my favourite kind of day :D. So, not sure what I'm going to do, housework I imagine, planning Christmas as well . Have only bought one present so far - am lucky that OH has already his birthday and Xmas present (new phone), but still have to get his stocking bits.

Don't forget it's 10p listing day on Ebay if you offer Paypal - I really should do some of them as well.

Tired Mum - Hopefully things will get better for your DS now he has stood up to the bullies. If you were closer to me, I would go and give the little !!!!!!s what-for myself. When I was at school, a person in the year below me got tied up and set on fire by 'bullies'. When it was discovered who had done it, they would have been lynched if they hadn't been expelled (seriously)

Scuzz - Hope things buck up for you soon - chin up girl!. I hear you on the 'hoping 2008 is better' front :)

Taplady - My brother had a fiesta as his first car and it was brilliant, he didn't have a single problem with it.
Chalky - HI!!!!!!!!! :j Glad you are getting on well in Spain

Haribo - Why do cats *always* fight in the middle of the night and never in the day  I hate it when my two start fighting at night

Taurus - Buses are truly awful. And they charge you a small fortune for the privilege of being awful. I keep saying, if the government want people off the road, they have got to improve the public transport system. I feel for your daughter - I was lucky to not have to take the bus for very long at college, as my friends started driving, but when I did....*shudders*

Right, well, on with...stuff. Have a good one
