The hash made with a tin of stewed steak was tasty and I'd make it again. It was a bit wet though because of too much gravy. Another time I'd make my own (like HB or similar) and put some of the gravy aside for another meal.2

Morning all. Glad I got all my washing done and line dried as it's been raining overnight. It's very wet out there this morning, although not raining at the moment.
I weighed myself this morning and it looks like the baguettes have taken their toll - it's a gain of 4.5lb! That could take me a while to get rid of with my small losses of 0.5 or lb a week!
Today is my first day properly back on plan. Today's menu looks like this:
B - porridge
L - jacket potato with beans, lelttuce, pepper, tomatoes (the only salad stuff I've got!)
D - beef stew, mash. Plenty of Speed in the stew, only stew veg I couldn't get was turnip.
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - none planned

It's amazing how weight goes back on so quickly denise. Hopefully it'll be quickly on and quickly off once you're back on plan for a while.
Still nothing on the SW website about the closures. I know it's a sort of franchised organisation but I don't think they should be relying on individual Facebook groups or whatever to get the message across. I'm happy with the support on here to keep going without a group but I still think some national advice would be the professional thing to do. I did send them an email yesterday asking why they hadn't disabled the message about going to group to get access to the website etc. Not holding my breath for a response though.
It crossed my mind that maybe I should buy some scales but I don't think I need any more stress.
I'm having wine syns tonight. It's partly because I'd planned it as we should have been at a black tie do this evening. Also we had some really good news yesterday. My DD1 was due to leave her job shortly (has to give 2 months notice so knew nothing of coronavirus then). Her employer suggested she retract her notice and stay on for the foreseeable future. It's a front line job (likely to involve some hands on and some work from home) but she won't need to make an application to the bank of mum and dad which I'd sort of planned for.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, half banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porage, HEA1 milk
L- veggie omelette and pickles (S,P)
D- SW Bolognese (S,P) with tagliatelle (F) and Parmesan (HEA2)
Syns- wine

To be honest I'm surprised by how little I put on - I was expecting more really! Hopefully it'll come off quickly but won't be holding my breath! Have decided to add some pickled onion and pickled beetroot to my lunch to up the Speed a bit. Will also use a Syn on some dressing!
I agree with you that the website should have something about the closures and get rid of the thing about needing to go to WI!
I've spent some time this morning using up some of the veg to make soup. I've made some leek & potato and some carrot & coriander, it tasted a bit bland so I've bunged in some Garam Masala so hopefully when I reheat it there will be a bit more taste rather than the current sweetness!
Good news indeed for your DD1 and for you not having to bail her out! Enjoy your wine Syns. I definitely enjoyed my rum syns last night but not going to have any more alcohol until the weekend.
I've done my menu plan until the end of the month so at least I know my meals are going to be on plan for the next couple of weeks! I actually found it quite difficult to do after not planning while we were away. I'm dreading trying to sort out next month's menu plan! Still I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Just been onto the website and there's now an article on the front page - Supporting you through Troubled Times. Doesn't actually mention the closure of groups though! There's a lot of old stuff rehashed in it but at last it's something.

Yes, you're right it's not a very good feature on the website. It doesn't say anything at all about groups being closed or the general organisation of SW. I loved the bit about buying low priced vegetables in local shops. That's a joke as they're always more expensive round here. 😉
I'm going to be doing my meal plan and shopping list shortly. It'll be a bit of a wish list though as not sure what fresh stuff I'll be able to get. I generally shop in the late afternoon (when mums are doing school runs and people haven't left work) but I'm thinking maybe I should go earlier tomorrow. 🤔1
