Hi all,
Hope everyone's well and staying safe and sane! We are about to adopt a skeleton staff at work with a rota system so each of us will only need to come into the office one or two days a week. There is not an awful lot for me to do as I'm a PA and all meetings and travel have been cancelled til further notice. I seem to be the only person in the world looking forward to spending more time at home - I love staying in and being away from peopleThat's not to say I'm not feeling anxious - more about the knock-on effects economically and socially than the virus itself, but I'm trying not to constantly refresh the news apps.
Not doing so well on the SW front though, I seem to have lost all sense of discipline and am reaching for the chocolate. Today's menu plan anyway:
B - Granola, Muller Light (0.5), banana
D - Veg soup (potato, carrot, leek, onion, broccoli) 1 slice WM bread
T - Pasta with pesto (2) and roast veg (aubergine, courgette, red onion, mushrooms, red pepper, cherry toms)
HEA - Milk
HEB - Granola and bread (oops)
Syns - As above (2.5), sugar (4), hot chocolate (2), bread (3) = 11.5
Hmm really not feeling it at the mo - I know someone (Maman?) said earlier about not letting the uncertainty undo your hard work, but it's hard!
Hope everyone's OK, hope you're on your way home Denise. Take care Vegastare. Well done on your losses Beanie and anyone I might have missed. Will have an early night tonight and hopefully be in a better frame of mind tomorrow!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb2 -

Hi everyone - I'm home! We made the decision last night that we would try and get home today as Macron decided that no unnecessary journeys should take place and that all French people needed to stay at home from mid day today! We got up early, about 5.30 this morning! and went on line and booked a ferry to come home. We had just over 3 hours driving to get to Calais but we'd booked for about 1pm but just left when we were ready which was about 7.30am. It's a relief to be home really as we've not enjoyed this holiday as much as usual especially once all the bars and restaurants were closed down!
We're going to try and live on what's in the fridge and cupboards for at least the next 7-10 days! Not all of it is SW friendly but it certainly won't be as bad as eating baguettes every day, LOL!
Tonight's dinner was a HM cauliflower, potato & mixed bean curry with brown rice. At least that was Syn Free! Syns this evening will be the wine Syns we're having now! I'm going to do the Good when I can and Careful when I can't over the next week or so. I've only got my little fridge/freezer at the moment so not as much food as usual. Have got several HM ready meals and some soups so they will form the basis of lunch and dinner. Breakfasts will probably be mainly cereal based as no bread in the freezer, although do have some WM flour and yeast so could probably make some if I become desperate!
My consultant posted on our Facebook page and also sent a message to everyone to say that Head Office had reluctantly decided not to open groups from today for the foreseeable future (no length of time mentioned) but that she would continue to support us via the Facebook page and of course we can contact her by phone, text or Facebook messenger. Also we could use the App and Lifeline Online.

Thanks Beanie. Glad to be home to be honest. I'll be weighing at home on Thursday morning to see how much damage my holiday has done! I'll be back on plan as far as I can but not having much in the way of fresh veg won't be helpful. Think we might pop out to the farm shop tomorrow just to get some fresh stuff in for this week. I've ordered a veg box but that won't arrive until next week so not much help this week!

Pleased you're home safely denise. It wasn't the holiday you expected but I'm sure you'll be pleased you got away. It might be a long time until the next one.😞
I've been out dancing tonight. It was the last class and we had a really great time. I'll miss it hugely but DH and I plan to get out for lots of walks to keep ourselves fit and keep cabin fever at bay. 😊

I wrote a long response yesterday, no idea where it is, don't you hate it when the gremlins eat it up!
Glad you back in one piece Denise. My brother is involved in a charity which supports injured military personnel, they are taught to ski. They were in Switzerland and are currently en-route home by road. DB had no concept of the logistics involved in helping the guys (he does the accounts, but had been asked by the charity over the years to go out and see for himself. He had always refused as the charity wanted to pay his costs and he wouldn't let them. They eventually relented this year and as he had had a really stressful time in his day job, he took the opportunity for a bit of r&r, while at the same time seeing what is involved) But he only made it back by air on time, so was really feeling for the convoy on the way back. Think they are due back today.
Have officially been told group is off for the next 3 weeks, will pretend I am going and weigh as normal, if nothing else to keep me in check. Feels very different to being on holidays, knowing that I can't go because I am away and knowing that I can't go for safety reasons.
Keep safe everyone.A smile costs little but creates much1
