Morning all, happy belated birthday Maman, sorry I meant to say yesterday!

Well done MM and Majorica! How's the head this morning Beanie? :naughty:

WI this morning was miraculously a *STS* after being over all week. If I'm being totally honest with myself, I've been concentrating more on the veggie side of things without thinking about speed or carbs, and there have been a few extra syns sneaking in, so I'll be more careful this coming week.

The harissa aubergine and tomato bake I had last night was amazing!!! I will definitely be cooking more with harissa in future, what a revelation and all thanks to meat-free Lent! (I did use less than directed Denise so thanks for that tip! It was hot but also much tastier than I expected! :yum: )

    Plan for today:
B - Well I've just had off-plan toast with nutella and peanut butter :flushed:
D - Mushroom, onion, spinach, and cheese omelette
T - Chinese takeaway in solidarity as their sales are apparently really suffering - Maybe a vegetable chow mein or something, I'm not sure what veg options they have.
    HEA - Milk, cheese
    HEB - WM toast
Syns - Loads no doubt, am always a little bit off plan on a Saturday.

Will have to do an inventory and meal plan because although I did a bit of a shop the other night, I was hoping to not be at work next week :persevere: so not sure what I have that's packed lunchy. Definitely got the bits for a chunky veg soup, maybe a roasted mediterranean veg pasta as well...

Have a good day all, and as others have said stay safe. If in doubt, don't go out!

Glad you enjoyed your meal with harissa - I'm like you - I like a bit of heat but not too much - I always use less than recipes say as too hot for me using the full amount.

We travelled for about an hour and half today so are now in the Loire region.  We're staying in a harbour overlooking the canal which runs alongside the River Loire.  It's quite a small town but has the most amazing bakery!  I know that not SW friendly but I am on holiday :D:).

So it's beef stew for dinner tonight (and enough leftover for tomorrow as well!). Definitely froze it in too large a portion.  Just need to reheat and make some mash to go with it.  Will also be having some more French bread!

Think I'm going to end up putting on a stone on this holiday with the amount of bread I seem to be eating!

Sounds like you're enjoying the French bread denise.
    Dangerous stuff. 🥖😁
I've just had Slimming Eats mushroom stroganoff and it was very nice. I had it with noodles as I was prepping them for dinner. I'll definitely do it again. I used a tablespoon of Aldi low fat soft cheese. It's probably not a HEA  but I'm pretending it is.😉
    Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit (F), ham, fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L - mushroom stroganoff (S) with noodles (F)
    D - chicken stir fry (P, S) with noodles (F)
Syns - 2.5 honey in sauce, weekend wine 🍷😁

Happy belated birthday 🎂 Maman 🍹
Friday 13th finished me off with thick head cold 🤧😷
At this present time school is still open but watch this space. No idea what will happen re contractual hours yet cross that when we come to it.

Little girl I work with had an operation cancelled this week and now Disney is closed may not get her holiday in April either (disabled & at risk of CV). Parents still sending her to school though 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Keep safe all 🥰
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Well done on your 2 pounds off tie, glad it disappeared so quickly. 😁
I'm perplexed why we seem to be interpreting the science very differently to every other country. 'Boris knows best' is hard to swallow. Hopefully we'll get some clear explanations PDQ. 🤔
I went out to get some Frylight from Home Bargains. It was crazy there with people queuing down the aisles. 😞
  • I think I am just going to shop for milk, fruit & veg, will make do with what I have in freezer & cupboards, will just have to be creative. I will look out for soap, as the guys at work need it and as we are currently working at 4 sites and have only one left, there could be a bit of a fight! It is ridiculous, shops should have immediately limited the amount people were buying, that way those who literally live from week to week would have a chance.

On positive news, just checked and family’s flight has safely arrived in Montreal, so I can sleep tonight, grateful they were not arriving via US. They sent me a photo from Cairo airport, really difficult to see your life boiled down to 8 suitcases and hand luggage, but things will be achieved in no time.

Was a tad naughty yesterday, ate crisps, more syns than I should have, so will have to work to reverse it. Been busy all day so hopefully will benefit. Went for a walk, saw someone in front across the road, wearing Uggs, mini skirt & cropped top. Not that warm! Then as I got closer spotted the very large bald patch, some things can never be unseen😱

So pleased to hear your family got to Canada gtq

We're having a few extra syns tonight. I found 4 spring rolls in the freezer so we'll have 2 each with our stir fry.

I've put veggie chilli in the SC today so a few extra HM Ready Meals just in case. 😉

Well, I made a big decision today and didn’t attend group.  Been going for 15 months  and lost just 1st 2 lbs in all that time.  Firstly due to health reasons I don’t want to sit in a room full of people with Coronavirus going round.  Secondly I am fed up with going and hearing the same “excuses” every single week as to why people are not losing weight. “Are you drinking enough?”  “Are you having ALL your syns?”  You say you’ve been to the gym but gained weight and the consultant says “that will be muscle, muscle weighs more than fat.”  What, after one session!! 😂. I have just lost faith in it and think I will just try counting calories.  It was like a weight lifted off my mind this morning when I decided.
Good luck to everyone else though.

Sorry to hear that Penny. I've never been hugely enamored with how the group works. I agree with you about the same old platitudes and I've never had a very good consultant . Personally I just stuck to plan, picked up tips from others (on here and in group) and kept plodding! I had 3.5 stone to lose and it took me just under a year.
Good luck with counting calories. I have a big appetite so I think I might feel hungry doing it that way.😉
