https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/legal-system/small-claims/making-a-small-claim/I have just had my telephone hearing and I am pleased to tell the forum...I won!!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks everyone, I'm still not sure what the specifics were that I actually won on, the Judge summarised many points and at times it was hard to follow and sometimes hear over the phone. However, it may be helpful for people to know that the case started with the Claimant outlining all the points he wanted to raise (which he rattled off at break neck speed) and then I had the opportunity to respond to those and then set out my defence. To be honest I didn't expect I would have to go over all my points (and speak so much) which threw me a little. The judge then said we would get the chance to say our closing statements - I had an inner panic because I hadn't actually prepared this. So that could be worth noting for future defendants to have this ready. Thankfully the judge had read all of the WS and I'm sure she had already made her decision on the ruling before either party spoke, she sounded like she was reading all her points off based on the WS provided. She sounded very kind and not fierce at all - I'm sure she ruled out Abuse of Process on the grounds of another case from earlier in the year (but I could be wrong, as I said before, it was sometimes hard to follow!).5

@Chico_talent if you use the WS template posted on my thread, you can’t go far wrong. I put a lot of focus on the signage so if you can get photos from the car park that will definitely help. HX only used stock images & they didn’t match my photos. The judge understood everything in the WS so actually all I needed to do was go over those points again at the hearing. I’m sure you’ll be fine. When did your incident happen?1

@blancswann my incident happened Aug 19. Their pictures of the signs are the correct ones. I do have my own pictures to use as well. My case is more of the wording used on the sign and its ambiguous. Im nervous and excited at the same time. Never been to court so its kinda exciting, nervous because im not a lawyer so it been a massive learning curve and relying on the good will of people on this forum. I just hope they dont discontinue, ive put so much effort into writing a defence, already prepared a WS and court packs that i hope i get to use them2
