Well diary readers ive had a lovely day in the sunshine. Planters have been moved around. Greenhouse had been tidyed and Mr M_F has crafted a table of sorts for my potting tray. We are short of wood so its basically four legs and a frame to hold the tray. When wr can get some wood it can be sturdied up a bit. Its lovely being able to sow seeds in my mini greenhouse. Ive sown today:
Cucumbers
Lettuce
Tumbling tom into a hanging basket
Some carrots on the patio and some beans on poles up against the fence.
Have more flowers to sow but they may wait a day or two.Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

Thank you for the thought of a curtsey but I can assure you I am no lady. The name actually comes from 2 of our dogs, one no longer with us and the other is 13 so we dont know how long we will have her although she is very fit at the moment other than a minor heart murmer. The mention of the rise in the birth rate was historical and there is no pressure to emulate it.2

Happy Post Easter too @Seasidegal58
(And other diary readers).
What a weird Easter it has been too. Delighted to report for the firat time ever have not scoffed numerous Easter eggs as the norm. Avoiding shops where possible is certainly helping not buying so much junk but it still needs cutting back more.
What I am missing is the shopping around for best prices but I have noticed we are getting better at switching our favourites for other things. We are awful for only having such and such brand (inc shops own) from such and such shop and can go all over for things usually. Now we only go into our local little Mr T when we need extras. We have a delivery but are sharing this with the inlaws so still have to visit the shop occasionally. Its certainly making us rethink our priorities and when this is all over will stick to less fussyness (hopefully)Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

I'm missing be able to get hold of my normal supermarket own brands as they seem to be the first to be swept off the shelves. Your right though about fussiness - I think plenty of people will be shopping a bit differently once things are back to normal. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

To be fair @Seasidegal58 Mr T isn't doing too badly at all. We have managed to get a slot for the inlaws next week along with our own so the whole Moving_forward family is delighted. Took some time teaching M_F Mil the ropes but she got there and is ecstatic with having a whole shop to herself, as are we.
In other non money saving news we treated ourselves to a discounted M&S flower subscription delivery. We cancelled after the first discounted one as too expensive but have to say if money was no object we would have it all the time. The flowers were delivered in a box and looked very sorry for themselves but a day or two later and a good drink and they have perked up lovely. Me being the tightwad gardener of the family have ordered the flower types in seed form and plug plants so I can attempt to re_creat the bunch from our own garden. I don't usually have cut flowers apart from as gifts as I see it as a shame for the flowers to die but these are rather lovely.Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

ooh if there is a heads up on a flower discount code I am interested. Love cut flowers, but am generally too much of a miser to indulge. Always envious of @doingitanyway and her bargain bunches. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I should, of course, try growing some to cut. I did manage a whole bunch of daffodils this year (Thalia, white, scented) but only because they got snapped when we trimmed the blasted evil monster pyracantha. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thalia is a lovely daffodil. They were on 'Gardener's World' last night & Mr F suggested we get some bulbs for planting in autumn as they are quite different from all the other daffs & assorted narcissi in our garden.

@foxgloves we saw them planted in swathes at Barnsdale, thought they were lovely and found them reasonably priced in Wilkos. Slow to flower in the shade but they do get there eventuallyMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
