I can't find any feature on the new forum that is better than that on the old - why has this monstrosity been visited upon us?
    But .... it's an upgrade, didn't you know? :#
I know the old forum was creaking at the seams, but surely the might of MSE could have found something decent???

Not sure what people are finding wrong.....See a thread, if interested read it, if in possession of any knowledge type.....Nothing more to it....All functioning..

Yup, working fine here. They've already sorted some teething troubles & no doubt others will be sorted soon. The old site was far from perfect.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

The biggest omission for me is the lack of post numbers ... particularly for the boards geared toward helping people, where there are FAQ threads with helpful advice in separate posts in that thread. In the old forum you could link to the thread and say "See post #1 for X, #2 for Y, #3 for Z" etc. You could even link directly to the posts. Now it's all guesswork.

Yeah it is difficult to refer to specific posts, and 10 posts per thread makes helping a real pita. Hey ho time will tell , but at what time is no easier than your guesswork.

I absolutely hate the new web site . I used to be able to click on my name. Then click statistics and either click all query posts started or all posts. With this I just don't know where to go or what to do.
    Do you mean this?

Is anyone else experiencing this? I look at a thread and then go back to the thread listings ... that thread no longer shows any New posts. I go back to the thread and add a reply; when I go back to the thread listings (via the forum link, not the back button) I see that there is now 1 New reply to the thread ... of course there is - it is my reply! Why would I want to be notified of a new reply that I had just made?

So I'm not allowed to voice an opinion about something that is very real and not at all "made up"? I think it's someone else that needs to "get over it". ;)
