Am I missing something obvious? Every comp I open, its taking me to the last post on the thread, which is fine if there have been no replies, but where there's been a discussion I have to scroll upwards to find the comp details, and its taking ages each time!
It also means that all the comps that I have bookmarked ready to enter in Chrome, no longer show up as being bookmarked, as the description is different
Can anyone tell me how to view the first post on each thread instead of the last?3 -
@GPark The theory is that the first time you open a post it will show you the first post, every subsequent time you open the post it will take you to the last post in the thread because I guess it assumes you've already read the original post. Whether this is what actually happens, I'm not sure.1

Back again
Is there any way to search in JUST comps forum? We used to be able to search at the top of page 1, say "Heart" and just get their's (Or Godminster and several Valentine ones!) Now there's just 1 search box and loads of Philip Schofield on that particular one
Also can't change size of text when posting,
Comps I've commented on,Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
@grannybiker If you use the Pinky/Purpley search icon next to the page numbers, it will only search the forum you're looking at.
If you're using the "Advanced Search" function you can change the "Category" dropdown to "Competition Time" (or whichever forum you want to search).
In regards to the font size when pasting ...
@BackAgain, tagging you too ... just remembered that instead of using CTRL V to paste your competition, if you use CTRL SHIFT V (or right click and select "Paste as Plain Text", it will remove the styling but you might need to manually add in links and that kind of stuff. (To add a link just click and drag your mouse over the text so it becomes highlighted and then click on the icon that looks like a chain with 2 links, a box will appear, just type / paste the URL into the field ... if you need it to be an email link, just do the same thing but add mailto: to the start of the url, So after clicking the chain icon your "link" would become something like mailto:hello@thisisafakeaddress.com)3 -
And increase the number of comps on each page. Previously my default MSE setting was 200 comps per page, ordered by end date.Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."1

We haven't worked out a way to do that, can only assume they're working on it.
However I did read that the forum software they are currently using used to have this functionality but it was removed because it's causes an unnecessary load on the servers on large sites, so I'm not sure if this will be fixed anytime soon.0 -
Don't know if this has been flagged already but I accidentally clicked on the final page, I.e page 142, but there's no way to get back to page 1, unless you go back page by page1

Just in case this hasn't occurred to anyone, when you're viewing the main board you can right click on the titles and select "Open in new tab", which dramatically decreases the amount of time it will take to "red X"0

Clicking that will take you back to page 1? alternatively the URL for page 140 would be :
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/competitions-time/p140
So you can also just change the p number in the address bar ie p32 would be page 320
