Just an observation but FWIW why is it near tech industry standard that breaking changes, like many aspects of this migration, take place on a Friday?? It's as if users are **expected** to deal with it over the weekend wholly unsupported and staff can swan in on a Monday with the dust somewhat settled.

My ignore list has become unignored? I had quite a few from over the years on it.

I totally agree. Whenever my workplace announces any big changes within the business, it's always last thing on a Friday afternoon. I'm convinced it's because people are less likely to kick off because they're about to go home for the weekend and things will have been forgotten about on the Monday!monsieur_epargnant said:Just an observation but FWIW why is it near tech industry standard that breaking changes, like many aspects of this migration, take place on a Friday?? Weird. I don't recall that being the case. When I included an email link within a post it was automatically parsed into a clickable link. Or maybe the new forum's just messing with my head!sleepyjones said:
@marialionza Clickable email links require the poster to make them clickable, this has always been the case, even on the old site.marialionza said:Clickable email addresses, I hope that's the way it is called.WHAT A MESS !If it is not ready why launching it ? IT IS A MESS !
How to do it has been mentioned in this post earlier.

A couple of things on searching ...
1. Some good news - searching for an exact phrase seems to now work eg to search for comps ending on 3 March, entering the search with quotes "E: 03/03" only returns the right ones. (without the quotes it will include 03/04 etc)
2. For anyone who uses a bookmark for the advanced search page preset to the comps board, two options are:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?cat=72 (searches threads/replies/polls)
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?cat=72&discussion_d=1 (searches thread initial posts only)
Both start with a list of all threads in the comps board, but you can simply type your search text in the box.
There are probably other useful short-cuts, but these are the ones I've worked out so far.7 -
Well i have tried a go with the new forum but I'm struggling. Miss not having the option to change to newly posted comps and to skip them without having to go into each comp and clicking skipped. It's taking me a lot longer to do this and really starting to lose my mojo. It's a shame as this is my hobby. Much prefer the old layout with the green.
New start.... positive vibes3 -
In the old green forum I was able to sort post out by newest thread first or newest post first, is this function going to be put back in later, the order is in a funny order and everytime I refresh page the order changes, makes it a lot harder for me to keep track of competitions entered?1

I'm getting email notifications everytime anyone makes a post which is really annoying and never used to happen. Can anyone tell me how to turn off notifications off please?

Both are done through your Profile - Edit Profile. Should get a menu which includes 'Notification Preferences' and 'Signature Settings'.Wentthedaywell? said:I'm getting email notifications everytime anyone makes a post which is really annoying and never used to happen.
