sleepyjones said:@grannybiker The VANS competition ended yesterday so it is now in Game Over, the Game Over section doesn't have the Skipped / Entered options (at the moment, hopefully). All of the Entered / Skipped (on the main board) have come over from the old site, so if you entered it on the old site you should see it in this forum as entered (unless it's in Game Over)
Thank-you, that makes sense.
However, the lack of entered / skipped boxes on comp boxes can still be problematic. For example, today I received a parcel full of cat treats with a card reading, "Congratulations from Webbox!". While I'm delighted for a win, and our son's cat may now decide I'm not the !!!!!! equivalent of Cruella De Ville, I can't find who to thank. Search brings up several competitions with Webbox, but absolutely no idea which I won. I only enter via MSE or directly via emails or on Facebook / Twitter as things appear in my feed or I'm tagged, so it must be one of them, but which....?

New forum allowed me to use the cat word it used to censor
Will it also allow Scunthorpe and Mafia?
ETA, (Actually, it didn't on refreshing...) Allows the town, but not the secret group that rhymes with raffiaWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."2 -
Come on peeps... lets give the site a chance. Yes it's frustrating, but if the heart of the comps forum waltz off 'cos they don't like change'... then the rest of us who REALLY appreciate your comp finding skills will be left in limbo. The site was what it was... not because of the layout... but because of the tireless work of the people who posted the comps... from the dozens a day people to the twice a year people.I have (over the years) seen sites change format many times... it takes a while... then all of a sudden you realise that you've got the hang of it... and all the niggles have been ironed out.Anyway... neglected my wine glass for long enough.Best of luck to you all... HANG IN THERE !!Robbie. That is all :-)4

you can't thank people for posting im not going to mention the new way of doing it because its ridiculous

So disappointed with this new layout, there was nothing wrong with the old one. Can't get comps in date order, search doesn't work properly, I'm gutted its changed, huge thanks to all that posted comps in the past, but I think its time to find another comping website :-(1

I’m another who feels sad at the new forum style. The old style was easier to navigate and seemed to fill the screen. This style seems to waste half the screen. Very sad to say but could be the end.. have already had to re-register and have lost all my old history0

Not liking change is one thing but the loss of almost all useful functionality is far more than that
Tick and cross that worked from the index and showed on search results
Simple forum sorts to display by thread title, thread start time etc
A thanks button that worked and showed you had used it
Thread titles that would show part of the thread when hovered over
and that's just 4 things
20 competitions on the old forum would take me 20 to 25 secs to mark them off - without using "bookmark" to partially get round the skip failure it took nearly 6 minutes when I tried on this one

I can not work out how to tick to say you have entered a competition ,I definitely do not like the new forum style ,I am really struggling to use the competition pages.I guess I must be to old to use this site nowTo create more positive results in your life, replace
'IF ONLY' with next time0 -
I am not a fan of the new site. I have avoided it until now and trying to do a few so sorry if this has been mentioned but is there no longer a preview when you hover over a thread title? I used to like being able to see some of the thread before clicking it as certain websites I don't bother with.Ask.. Believe.. Receive..
