DVLA have repeatedly failed to send me my logbook over a year

No, it's absolutely key.
You're alleging that DVLA are at fault here, because they've sent four, and there's been a 100% failure-to-receive rate.
How many do DVLA send out every day, week, month? What proportion of those do you suspect aren't received?
I've already answered you. I get the post though the letterbox in my door. I find it bizarre that we're still talking about this. "statistically it is unlikely that the mail failed to reach you" ok thanks, it hasn't gotten to me.
Key suggests there's a solution here, but I don't see it.But, given that you're moving in a couple of days, why not just wait until you've moved, then use the V62 again with your new address...? I mean, even if the postie brought your V5C today, you'd just be filling in the change of address immediately, right...?
I've been dealing with this all year and didn't know I would be moving until the end of January. I don't know how this whole thing is done, I've never recieved one. To me it makes sense to have the paperwork before moving, and I'm annoyed about paying for it and not getting it, and also being expected to pay again.0 -
I was just wondering if you had received any kind of V5C yet? My sister has had the same problem, the DVLA have not sent hers for well over a year. At first they kept saying they hadn’t received the application, until she paid for recorded delivery which confirmed it had been delivered to the correct DVLA office. They kept asking her for all kinds of documents, which she sent (and also got mysteriously “lost” until she sent those recorded delivery too!) and have since started asking for the VIN number, but not the one on the windscreen! Apparently there is another one which no one can seem to find. She had all kinds of trouble trying to tax her car as she obviously didn’t get a reminder, however she is also the registered keeper on their system. Now she wants to just sell the car but this is obviously going to be even more hassle!

I doubt you will get an answer since the OP hasn't been active since February.0

I can't help wondering if the OP did actually receive their four V5Cs in the post, but dismissed them as bumf or junkmail and filed/binned them as they were not the 'log book' they had been expecting to receive?0

While the origins of the thread are old, since there's talk of the logbook - how long would you leave it before sending off the new keepers supplement to get a logbook in return? And can that be done online? I know when you buy the car it can all be done online, but what about when you need to send off the new keepers bit?Brother bought a car a while ago and still hasn't got the logbook back. Ok it's not a year as in the OPs case. I bought my car early August and got the logbook 3 days later after doing it all online.0

The logbook should have been sent to me when I bought the car, and it wasn't.
At the start of 2020, I knew I would have to move house mid February, so I bit the bullet and paid them £25 to send it to me fast track.
However after doing that, and asking them to send it me yet again, I still have no log book.
I asked a representative if they track their post, they do not.
I also asked if I could change the address they are sending the log book to. They said that to do that, I would have to pay £25 again.
I'm actually pretty shocked and hurt by this treatment, I paid them the fast track money so that I could have the book well in advance. I've had repairs done to my car since then and I can't log them.
I also find it a bit concerning that they have sent 4 logbooks out now and have lost all of them, and didn't track any of them.
What should I do? I think it's insulting to have to pay it again. I've left a complaint
The £25 fee is not a fast track, it's in lieu of the new keeper supplement for new keeper and for those who have lost theirs.0 -

His transfer was by mail. Said the guy selling it seemed like he had lived under a rock all his life when my brother started talking about doing it online.0
